VP fuels MS103 in place of MRX01

Has anyone tried MS103 instead of MRX01? Just wondering what the difference is. I can get it locally but can't get MRX01.

Here's the description from VP

MOTORSPORT 103
MS103 provides power and protection equal to some leaded racing fuels. Compared to Motorsport 101, it allows even more aggressive timing and higher compression-up to 14:1 in cast iron head engines and up to 15:1 with aluminum heads. Can allow doubling of stock boost - consult your engine builder. Also contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors. AMA legal for Supercross & Outdoor Nationals.

• Color: Red
• Motor Octane: 99
• R+M/2: 103
• Oxygenated: Yes
• Specific Gravity: .743 at 60° F

are you going to be running higher compression?...if not, your not going to need the MS103....you'll make more power of pump gas. The basic fuels your going to see guys use are..pump gas....U4....MR9.... and MRX10. The MR9 is going to give you the biggest hp gains from just pouring it in but it's going to be the most expensive. I know the U4 and MR9 are oxgenated..i'm not sure about the MRX10 because i never used it.

don't you think the ms103 is pretty much the same? I can't get mrx01 with out driving a few hours to get it. They have the ms103 right here in town. I had never heard of anyone running it, but they seem very similar. might be cheaper too.

i never used it so i can't be a 100%.....I know/seen/heard from alot of guys running the MRX10...that's what they use for a bike with high compression and nitrous. I think try out the ms103 and see what happens.....when you just dumping gas in the bike, your kinda down to splitting hairs...unless your bike needs or is tuned for a specific gas...I know it cost 25 dollars to have u4 shipped to my door.

Send an email to VP, asking what the difference is...

mrx01 is perfect for 12's, 14's, Busas with motorwork...

If you want to spray then just use 92 octane pump gas, waste of $$$ to use VP race fuel with spray in non Pro Racing...
