Official 2008 Honda CBR1000RR
This has got to be the uglyiest 1000 that Honda has ever come out with. First the Fugly Busa and now the FUGLY FUGLY CBR1000RR.
LOL sorry Steve you most be puking right now. Please tell me that Kaw will not follow suit with Honda and SUz uk with ugly new models.
 as only Honda can be. I am going to have FUN laughing at those guys. It may not break but I'd wreck that bitch on purpose.....LOL

Muffler and tail design of the Yamaha R6, front fairing of the old "butterfly" headlight 90's cbr900rr....not sure what honda's doing these days. Maybe it'll turn around and surprise us all though.

If I was concerned with looks, I'd have never bought a ZX14, there are much prettier bikes. Honda - I want to see the new Honda's spec sheet

That thing does need a longer nose than what they gave it. Not quite as long as the old busa to the point that it could have been considered a beak but damn a little bit of a point to break the wind a little better.

the new colors for the 600RR are nice. but then again are we buying bikes on "looks" these days?

two things amaze me here:
1. looks!? we haven't seen the performance/spec sheet and folks are judging the bike
2. whats really amazing is that a ZX14 or busa owner can call anything ugly, but I doubt we compared looks to other bikes when purchasing.
I wanna' see the spec sheet on the Honda and if it smokes all arse in its class I may have one in my garage soon. And it'll be purchased to ride fast not look at or bling out.

I want the 600rr based on looks....I already know what one performs like.
I bought the ZX-14 based on looks because the busa is just plain hideous.
Performance doesn't mean much to me....I mean really...it's a bike for crying out loud...it does the 1/4 in 10-11 seconds out of the box....

All the bikes perform so far above 99% of riders that performance has become a moot point. If you want to obsess over a couple of less lbs. and a few more ponies have at it.
And guess what? Next year it will be a couple less lbs. and a few more ponies. 
Most people buy bikes they like the look of.

They almost look computer generated to me.
The nose is flat looking, but I am glad they finally integrated the turn signals, but I don't see any rear signals...
Could it be preproduction? Maybe the pics slipped out to generate a response?
I think a lot of that flat look is also due to the shape of the fairing near the back of the front wheel, which would be easy for them to change.

Actually Honda USA flubbed BIG TIME. The photos were not supposed to be released yet so they pulled them. Of course you can't pull anything once the cat is out of the bag.

As ugly as the 14 is I can't beleive people are so worried about looks either.
A friend of mine said "new bikes that perform better but appear like chit seperate the posers from the riders" Meaning some care about performance. I hope the military isn't rejecting the newer faster jets because they don't look kewl lmao

Have you seen the PBS Nova "Battle of the X Planes"? The two planes considered for the Joint Strike Fighter were so close that most pundits think that at least some of the decision was based on looks. The Lockheed plane that won did have a performance edge but the Boeing was one ugly airplane.
An odd observation I've had with the 14 is that only motorcyclists seem to think it's ugly. I have had more people stop dead in their tracks to admire the looks of the 14 than any other bike I have owned. It's a subjective thing but I really like the looks of the 14. There is very little I would or will change. (I do want a Kawi Green and black one)!
