Muzzy Fan

Took my Muzzy fan to the local stealership and they said they couldn't install the fan because it did turn freely after removing the stock plastic fan. I told them I don't know if it should move freely or not but I have had a Muzzy fan on every Kawasaki I have owned. Does any mechanic type know if the Muzzy fan should turn freely after it is installed like the plastic fan? At this point I have been charged for the installation of the fan with the promise if I find out it isn't supposed to turn freely after installation they will re-install at no charge. Muzzy is closed today ( Saturday ) I will double check with them on Tuesday.

Thanks guys!

I had to "adjust" one blade, trim the feathered edge off the gasket, and minor adjustment to rad shroud... no big deal...

I installed one on mine, no trimming, rubbing, or any other problem. Yes it turns freely by hand. That sucker does move lots more air than the stocker.....TB

It helps cool mine better... Mine gets hot really quick too.. I might have to drain my coolant and try something else.. but yes, it does help way more than the stock one...

Engine Ice helped mine out quite a bit.

The bike still needs a second fan though.

I'm going to pick up some Engine Ice tomorrow. I probably won't put it in until I put the bike away for the winter. Very soon I'll be posting how great the heat rolling of the bike feels on a 32 degree ride!

I'm just squirreling away stuff paycheck by paycheck to get everything set to install for next year. Getting this sucker to run cooler is gonna be job 1. On the road it's just fine. In town it 5 bars every ride almost all the time.

Muzzy fan turns freely but it's quite a bit louder than the stocker when it comes on. Honestly, I can't tell you if it cools any more than the stock fan.

It may take a little tweaking, but they fit and perform fine. Mine has yet to go over 4 bars on the gauge now, but it still stays on longer than I like. No doubt this engine needs 2 fans.
