FYI for dragracers....
I decided to switch to the michelin pilot power race rear tire alot of guys are having good luck with. I weighed the tire just like i pulled it off the bike and it's alittle over 39 pounds on my digital postal scale. I mounted up the 190 michelin, pulled the rotor off (no back brake now) and threw it back on the scale...alittle over 32 pounds.....7 pounds of rotating mass gone....i'm happy. Now we'll see how that pilot hooks. I also replaced the grease in the bearings with thinner grease.....the whole bike rolls much better. I'm going to do the front tomorrow.
oh, also the line and caliper was 2 pounds...every one counts!

"Now we'll see how that pilot power hooks."
c'mon man you have the softest street tire there is - let us know how it hooks
The pilot "race" tires we use on our track bikes are so soft that when the tire warmers come off I can push my thumbprint onto it. imagine how that may hook lol

I'm hoping it's not like the metzler i tried and it has...what you guys call "cold breakage"? We dont use tire warmers in dragracing and was told heating it too fast was why it was doing that.
I noticed it was super soft when i was pulling the shipping tape off and my fingernail was sticking in it.....and i chew my nails off..lol

"We dont use tire warmers in dragracing" <---hey powerbraking the CHIT out of it as drag racers do counts as tire warming too though right

that's what i was thinking but i couldnt convence metzler other wise...douchebags.................
the metzler turned into the dyno tire...it's light so it should at least show some good hp #'s
if the michelin sucks it might end up a you tube video...i always wanted to row thru the airshifter, banging it off the rev limiter all the way thru 6th....
