We Suck or was it just bad luck..?
Today JesseJames and myself raced in a Heads Up Maddness race ( 1/8 mile track ) .. We have run this race about 4 times in the past and done ok even if we were badly out gunned ... Running our stock motored zx14s against the fastest Turbo and N20 bikes around ... The Turbo bike that Jesse had to run in the first round holds the Prostar record in Super Street at 7.93 !!! Jesse cut a great light and got out in front of the turbo bike but the turbo bike reeled Jesse in right at the finish line ....Jesse still did a good job even with the bad odds....
My first round loss came at the hands of a Light weight Gixxer ( 69 inch wheel base) packing a 1170 motor with a 110 wet shot... But that's not what cause me to get beat ....I had earlier in the day i had only added 1/2 gallon of fuel to the bike and was just going to make one pass then add some more fuel ...Well Moron that i am i forgot to add fuel !!!! As i left the line the bike gulped for fuel and only got air, then it studdered its way to a 6.13 pass ... I Mostlikely i would have lost even if had remembered the fuel ...That Gixxer runs 5.40s most passes and my bike with no Spray can muster a high 5.60 to low 5.70s most days ... I would have had to cut a killer lite or he would have to fall off his bike to get a win ...
This reminds me why they call it drag racing >> Because sometimes it's just a friggin drag ......
Jesse and myself are not giving up just yet , Yes we showed up with knifes to a gun fight but now the game is on !!!!! Whatever it takes is the new word because these guys are going down !!!!...Smokin....

dammit dawg! I got one week left and hopefully I'll be able to add to the gruesome 2some. I think I am going to atleast start off with some head work though. The bikes these days for that class are just too strong. Even with rider error, they can dominate us stock boys!

Jesse James is a member here on bikeland and races a zx14 ...And no he doesn't have a Chopper...

Sorry I didn't make it out to at least watch. Busy all weekend getting ready for my trip this week. You 2 are going to have to dig deep in your wallets and turn your bikes into full time drag bikes if you want to compete with those guys. The class rules are just to broad. I will never stand a chance on my bike and have accepted that after the first race. I regret the class will most likely not exist next year and all that will be left is Friday night brackets. I think the only way to bring out a big number of bikes is to run a Street ET class. Not as exciting but at least everyone will have the same chance at winning.

BTW, I've never seen a jesse james post on here so that's why I asked that. The WCC Jesse James does have some sort of turbo R1 or something like that, so I just figured I'd see who you were talking about.

Rick stop picking on my leathers ..  It's hard to fine leathers with a 33 inseem with a 28 inch waste !!!!!! I guess i'll have to spray paint my socks black so you will stop picking on me ...
Rick i was points leader 3 years in a row in TX .....So i know how to bracket race ....AND i still hate it !!!!!

That will help some. My arm starts at 64". Would probably be at 64 1/2 with chain properly adjusted. Think I can get a handicap? LOL That will knock out Fernades but Vic is used to running at 64".

True vic runs 5.50s but so can I... But he is selling that bike .....It will get rid of all the 69 inch bikes !!! Teddy i have mine at 64 and a tant and i didn't think anyone will care or even bother to look ... Only time someone will bitch is if you win ....

I can always go up to tech with the arm all the way forward and then adjust my chain after. Better get to bed now. Leaving at 5 am tomorrow for Atlanta.
