what 60ft to shoot for?
I'm going to install the extensions and bigger rear sprocket tomorrow. I'll probably put it at 64 inches (7 inch stretch) with 16/44 gears. What 60 foot would be good for this setup? I'll be running a stock bridgestone.

Think your going to have problems with the stock tire unless your track is preped really really good. I was only 4.5 over and had trouble on a marginal track with an ultra soft shinko. I was down to 10 psi a few nights. stock tires work well for stock wheelbase only imo. you better spend the extra 110 and put a shinko on it. I had a 1.44 best at 4.5 over.

I might do that, but for now I'm gonna try what I've got. The track is usually prepped good.

I agree IT WILL NEVER HOOK!!! low 1.50s is a good point to shoot for but for the really good e.t's eventually you need to be in the LOW 1.40's high 1.30's

Well, I might wait until the bridgestone is wore out then before I put on the extensions.

Traction issues are going to haunt you even with the Shinko. Unless you are really really good, i say mid 1.4's will be what you should aim for at first. Once you get the hang of the combo and arent spinning terribly, i think a 1.38-9 would be your best goal. IMHO

Thanks guys. I might just roast the bridgestone tonight at the track and get a shinko next week.

If your shock is set right you will hook. Shinko U-Soft and you will be fine.
1.46 should be close to where you will be based on your weight...

Yup you are going to need a Shinko or some other type of sticky tire ....I think you will be able to hit mid 1.40s maybe even better ...BUT it will take some seat time to get there ....Don't give up if it doesn't come real fast , you have to keep working on it and it will come in time ....Hey don't sweat it just go have fun ...Smokin..

Hate to tell you this , it will not hook on the street no matter what tire you use ...Even a slick will spin on the street ....But the shinko will work on the track ...

Oh ok. I just thought since it spun on the street that it might do it on the track. What number shinko do I need for the track? I've seen 003, 005 and 008.

So, 003 ultra soft? I seen an 008 slick on ebay. Would that be better or is that for road racing?

get the 003 ultra soft. Make the the tire say "u-soft" on the sidewall. I went with the regular 003, and when I extended, I was spinning and I'm 290 lbs. Put on the usoft and I'm not spinning anymore. I run mine about 11 psi cold to hook at the track.
