Hey what up with the 14 stroker motor and big bore kits. I have yet to see anyone to post any real number or for the most part talk about it except muzzy and carpenter. I mean schnitz use to carry the muzzy kit it on there web page but dropped it some time ago for what reason if anyone knows please share it. Ryan if you could please let me and the board know also it would be great info. I was also wondering why hasn't any of the big names such as JE or WISECO developed a kit yet. JE are advertising the same bore as muzzy a 2mm. They usually differ from muzzy by 1mm or .5mm in bore size like the 1270 of muzzy and 1290 kits of JE and ape for zx12. Where are the big bore kits guys. When the zx12 came out there were so many guys beggin for more and installing the 1270 that you could shake a stick at. How realiable will the strokers be? Will the motor be as finiky with a crank as my 1375? I ask becasue i have been saving and its getting closer to fall and i am go to venture into this uncharted land.Wanted to get some head up. Really thinking of going muzzy. its seems to be a reasonable price.
A. Special head gasket.
B. Special 86mm 13/5.1 Muzzy pistons.
C. Special high speed rings.
D. C-clips.
E. Piston pins.
G. 5mm stroker crankshaft.

Might want to add some extra cash for a good set of rods with that package ....Better to be safe than sorry ....Smokin...

Smokin i have ondered on that but i guess i was trying to get some info from the board on the kits out there and why have not anyone jumped on one.The 14 has been out about 18 months and not one have i hear d about being heavily modified except Rickys. I mean ggiy like mean and you have tried nitrous and other things but no real;ly big engine mods

I talked to some people at Carpenter and orient almost a year ago now...
Can't remember the price exactly so I won't quote it, they did however mention 220-230 RWHP stroked , bored, cammed, ported and race fuel....

I am thinknig of ordering the muzzy pistons now since i have the money but ws just waiting to see what guys had in mine. to me it seem to just do a 2mm bore would be a waist of money compared to hp gain.

Personally, I wouldn't even bother with bore.
Just stroked, headwork, rods, pistons and cams...
The cylinder walls are so thin these days ..., hot spots, uneven expansion, scuffed walls etc... not enticing to me... especially cause you cant change just the jugs if does go wrong!
Anyone running big bores on big juice, or turbo seems to run into cylinder issues sooner than later.

Dubious not sure what you meant by Just stroked, headwork, rods, pistons and cams... are you suggesting stroke the stock crank and leave stock piston in.
What type of hp gains would that yield. I wonder if anyone ever done that on a 14 or 12 for that matter. Maybe stock bore aftermarket pistons,stroked, headwork, rods, and cams. Should be able to hold a good 70-100 shot wet and see maybe 15hp from the stroke, headwork, rods, and cams plus maybe 10-15ft/lb of more torque.

There's a guy at our track running the 5mm stroker crank. It's a mean sounding bike. He's running a 5.69 @ 125 in the 1/8. I believe he's spinning a little off the line too.

Stroked, headwork, rods pistons and cams...
Not stock pistons, but not bored either!...
I have long been an advocate of stroking rather than boring, especially on an engiine like the 14 which is already oversquare...
A 2 mm stroke will yeild much larger compareable gains than bore all else being equal.
Thats not to say the stock pistons are suitable, but... the bore is!
Besides, I would not have to send the cases out for boring and replate!
Chip Hunter is one fine example who has not done the bore, but has done the crank....

So i take i take those JE pistons. Maybe do a 2mm stoke get the head ported.some cams and a valve spring kit and i am in the game.. With that in mine i should be able to shoot a little more than a 50 shot dry or maybe even go wet.

Chip has a thing on the board talking about his numbers dawg! He is in the low 8s right now and one of them was off a 1.5 60ft. Nice numbers. Be back in a week too. Got to get together at the track. A guy name raymond wants to test me on his CBR900 with a 1000rr motor and some gas!

Welli am betting with ya. Me and Mr clean are suppose to go to the track saturday night and sunday after noon. so i plan to get a lot of seat time in this weekend

Cool! Clean told me he got another guy riding his bike that got him in the 5s. So I'm going to see what's popping on him and I locking up and letting them fly!
