better than the new BUSA, not a 14, but in the same pics!
Yesterday my wife's boss gave her the keys to one of the demo bikes! Pretty neat in person! People were almost causing car accidents just to see it! Even a cop did a U turn just to stop her to look at it! He loved it, he has a ZX7.

dang man whats that based on? a jet ski or a snowmobile? thing looks pretty cool, how did it do against your 14? Don't tell me you didnt run it, oh the sacrilege! Hmm, you know Kawi has a 1500cc 250 hp jet ski, wonder how hard it would be too toss that engine in...

LOL!! It's a vtwin Rotax 4 stroke 998cc. It has a clutch and 4 or 5 gears like a bike! It has reverse too!!
I flogged it good for about 5 mins. It's a dog compared to a 14. Goes faster then the wife's 500 ninja I suppose.
It would be awesome for touring, and I feel better with her riding on 3 wheels as opposed to two!

Right on Sticks.... at least find a way to get that supercharger on the bike! That Can-am is pretty cool! Just keep it outta people's hands who might have a false sense of security...when they lack the expierience needed to keep em safe...ya-know

LOL!! I actually test rode it hard and tried to get it up on 2 wheels, but it stayed flat no matter how hard and fast I turned!!
It also has ABS brakes!
I needs about 40 more HP and a louder muffler!!

naw, it needs a 14 implant! what it really needs is for you to bring it over to my house and let me try it! whats the retail gonna be? availability? I've heard about this bike a few times in magazines didnt know it was out already. I'm betting that it can corner better than any car and even better than most bikes, too. Probably weird to flog it around a road course, though, and alot of work too. nice pics though! how about a burn out pic? from a roll of course!

I am not sure the retail price, I have heard $18000 CDN!! Which is a lot if you ask me.
Trust me, it's just weird to flog it period. I had a bloody audience when I took it for a ride. We rode to the local park area that has a large parking lot to take the pics, then I went for a ride. Here I am just givin'er with a the people on the golf course on one side of the road and the people in the park on the other side of the road all watching wondering what the F**k it is!!
I felt dorky like when I drive the wifes 500 ninja, but I knew I was driving a pretty cool machine!

Still sounds cool. Is it stateside yet? didnt know you where in canada. I forgot what the exchange rate is but I believe its close to US dollars. People will pay it, though. And as soon as guys riding those start figuring out how to take a sport bike in the corners you can probably expect the japs to make there own. Imagine a Honda Goldwing 3 wheeler. It would be an obvious fit IMO. Course, is it considered a bike or a car? Carpool lane or not?

LOL!! No. The Cop did a u turn after we passed him as he was stopped at the lights. I saw the look on his face and knew he was coming just to look at it! First thing he said when he got out of his car to her was that he is sorry but he just had to stop her to see the SPYDER!!!
He got his phone out and even took pictures of it from every angle!!
Yes, he even loved my ZX14!! He has a 99 ZX7R.

Yea cops that ride are great. Its like they forget they are cops when they start talking bikes. When my R1 got stolen the cop doing the report was telling all about his bike, asking me where i ride and telling me cool spots. I was thinking is he trying to set me up or what. Then he asked me how fast i took it,lol, its was just funny. Have had a few good convos with cops that ride though, even got out of a speeding ticket in the car because i started asking the cop all about the HD he pulled me over with. ANYHOW.. that thing is too cool, thats perfect for the ladies, and with a lil more power, guys too. Thanks for the pics an story, very cool.

Yes it is perfect for the ladies! Big huge store compartment up front for their purses!
I feel better too about her safety when she is driving it, as opposed to her riding a motorcycle.

ive been following the development for quite some time and i am less than impressed.
waste of money if you ask me...
man up and get a t-rex, ive ridden along side em before and theyre cool as hell.

I hear ya! But the Spyder is a great bike for the wife! Remember the Spyder is more of a bike, whereas the Trex is a 'sit' in car with only 3 wheels!!
I'd have the Trex over the Spyder any day if it was something I was interested in! I'll keep my 14 thanks!!
But for the wife, if she wants a Spyder, I'd rather her have that than a ZX6R. LOL!!

Yeah, I got a friend whos a cop and rides. He's got a custom pitbull, sharp ass bike though. Me and him and another friend on an R1 went ridin one day and I asked him if he was gonna give me a ticket if I broke the speed limit. He said as long as I didn't tell anyone that he didnt have a motorcycle license, he'd let me go  I laughed. Needless to say, I was hittin triple digits that day
