The Creature

Once upon a time in the very near past, I found myself racing a creature in the Santa Monica Mountains above Los Angeles. It was a glorious Southern California day. Sun shining. Seventy two perfect degrees. No wind. No humidty. Like a postcard from paradise. As I rounded a corner, knee down, engine singing, I noticed something sitting at a stop sign readying itself to join the road I was travelling upon. It kind of looked like a motorcycle. It sorta sounded like one too. While it seemed more than just a little odd to look at, I figured, what the heck? Let's give it a go. I slowed down and we started out even, but then I figured I would let him get a lead, play with him for a minute or two and then roar on by. What started out as an innocent attempt at humiliating this strange being with the unmatched power of my mighty 14, suddenly turned into something quite different. What I hadn't counted on was the sight I would see when I looked up from behind. Aaaaaaaaahhhh! I let out a bloodcurdling scream and quickly let the creature pull away, humbly shutting down my 14 and stopping on the shoulder to collect my wits before turning around to limp back home, shaken, frightened and confused. You see, on that fateful day, I found myself staring into the face of the most horrific sight these eyes had ever seen. Surely, it was some being from a galaxy, far, far away as nothing on earth could possibly have created such a hideous visage. Somewhere, in the deep recesses of space, an evil empire sought to send this thing to earth. There's was a society completely devoid of compassion for others, dignity or even the most miniscule sense of taste.

Now, I consider myself a pretty tough guy. In many ways, I think I have seen and done it all and have always managed to come away unscathed. Somehow, this was different. Even now, after many trips to my therapist and countless mood altering prescription pharmacological concoctions, I am not sure whether I will ever be able to venture out on that fateful road again, for fear of encountering that fugly beast. Luckily (for some), I had a video camera mounted to my bike that day. After several weeks, I mustered the courage to take a look at the tape and to my horror, there it was. That same face that had shut me down was there from the beginning, parked at the stop sign. If only I had noticed. If only I had seen it before it got near, I could have avoided the terror that haunts my nights and infests my days. Here, I will post a frame from that video for all to see in hopes that you too will never be subjected to such a life altering vision. Perhaps in doing so, I will learn that by helping others, my fear can one day subside. If you think your stomach can take it, go ahead and look. If you are a little squeamish, please look away now as you will never be the same. Just remember, I warned you . . .

ZX-14 90049, please tell me you are not letting this amazing ability to captivate go uncomphensated. Besides amusing us here you must utilize those talents elsewhere.

If nothing else you may have found a niche in motorcycle shorts.

Keep'em coming.

Oh No, this creature will never die. It will live in my memory, in all its hideous glory, for all eternity. I have seen Rosie O'Donnell in a swimsuit walking down the beach. I have seen ugly. I have squashed a dry heave while gazing upon Donald Trump's hair in a NY restaraunt. I have seen ugly. I have seen Britney Spears emerge from a car without panties only to reveal something looking much like a bad grilled cheese sandwich between her legs. I have seen ugly. Oh yes, I have witnessed ugly my friends...but nothing and I mean nothing could ever compare to the sight of the ass of that 2008 Busa creature... Nothing!

Don't bet on it. do you really think Suzuki is going to release something slower then the 14. I don't know if it will be alot quicker but I bet they are at least equal.

i came close to buying a busa a couple of times but never did because i was never sold on the looks plus everyone and their grandma has one. i've always liked things that were a little unique or different. i like the appearance of the new busa untill you see the ass end.WTF????!!!! i'm sure the performance will be on par with the 14 but i didn't buy the 14 because of performance alone. to me it was the total package. hyper-performance, killer looks, modern design, good handling and comfortable enough for the long haul. as far as i can tell the "new" busa only meets one of these criteria which is why i didn't buy one in the first place

I'll be honest when I looked at the 14 in pictures before it was released I thought it was the worst looking bike I had seen. Even after it sat at the dealer and I walked past it for 3 weeks I thought it was ugly, But then it started to grow on me and I bought one and have no regrets, it was a very good bike with no problems. The Busa will be the same way it will grow on alot of people who bash it now then they won't be a man and fess up when they start to like the looks of it. And it will be as quick as the 14 wait and see.

OK, OK, you got me, however I did have a good reason . . . Since this is a G-Rated forum, I figured that in order to keep it "family friendly," I should photoshop away your mouth from around the tailpipe.

I don't think my post was insulting. However, I find that many people on this forum take things just too seriously and make replys that ARE insulting.

Why is it so hard to say why without an insult? Is it because we have the almighty ZX14 we must beat our chest every time we are challenged with a simple question?

It was a joke 87...lighten up! Just trying to bring a little levity and interest to the forum instead of the typical "I've had my ZX-14 up to 495 mph and it was solid as a rock" BS. From now on, maybe I should stick to amazingly interesting, entertaining and mostly retarded debates where we argue over whose $89 double bubble (on a $12,0000 motorcycle!) is better . . .

ZX-14 90049 keep it coming, in this day and age we ALL can use ALL the humor we can get. Ditto the magazine writing, you my friend have talent.

Can you ride though, that is the question (LOL) just kidding,

Thank GOD the only thing we will see on our 495mph rock sold ZX-14's is the front of the busa creature getting smaller and smaller every second!!!
