Now days you don't even have to carry a weapon to hunt. Just drive your car, or in my case, your motorcycle. In 2003 I hit a deer on a ZX-11 right in the city limits. I was going about 45 mph. Killed the dear because the bike hit it right in the area on the side right near its front leg, the same area you would try to hit it if you were hunting with a gun or bow. The deer tried to jump over the front end of the bike but didn't quite jump high enough. Glad I was on a heavy ZX-11 instead of one of these liter bikes cause it would have folded that little liter bike up. Fortunately I wasn't going real fast, so therefore I didn't sustain any injuries. With all the trees that are being torn down today, making room for houses, buildings and more highways, soon deer will be walking around downtown like cats and dogs. It's heading that way fast.

I'm in North Carolina. Housing market may have bottomed out but they are still building office buildings and new highways and beltways in my area all over the place, which mean that deer don't have anywhere to go now.
