Power Commander faceplate buttons
After getting my power commander installed, I was messing with the faceplate buttons.
I depressed the three faceplate buttons to enter button mode (per the instructions) and nothing happened. The first time I tried this, the bike was turned off and the 9 volt battery was hooked up. The power commander came to life but the LED stayed at the bottom.
So I fired up the bike and same thing.
Both times I held the buttons down for different lengths of time (5 seconds then 10) and then attempted to click each of them a few times, but the LED stays on the bottom.
I thought you could adjust the PC without a computer?
Or else I permanently locked in super lean?
The PC did fluctuate when the bike was fired up when I touched the throttle but other than that it stayed put.
And yes I did make sure all three buttons were held down simultaneously when attempting to enter button mode. If it is a safety feature to make sure the buttons don't accidentally get bumped when you are just riding around that is fine. Just want to know.

Got it figured out. Asked the same question on another forum and someone posted with the answer. Apparently to use the button feature you have to depress all three faceplate buttons within the first few seconds of powering up the PC. Then they function as advertised.

yea... connect 9v.....push all 3 at the same time then adjust each one the way you want it......then sit and wait till the light flashs to the bottom and your done.....
