WTF? Dead Bike...

Tonight I started to go with my bro for a ride, did my normal..turn on the key, put the bike in neutral then the bike went completely dead! After that no power at all. When I first turned the key on all dashlights were normal. Now the bike is completely dead. I have made no mods at all to date except a fender delete 4 months ago.

Any ideas?

The usual. Start with the simple things and work your way up. Are your battery cables tight? Check the fuses next. If you find a blown one find out why it blew. Look for any obvious loose or cut wires.

check your connections around the fender elim to make sure no shorts. then check your battery connections and measure your battery with a dvm. check fuses. if no luck take her in to the dealer. bet it is something easy.

My wife called from her car.... said 'it won't come out of park".

I ask ... is your foot on the brake ?

she say's.... no, I want to go backward

I say .... you need to put your foot on the brake first.

she says... why?

I say......... just do it

She says.... no I won't

I say.... have a nice day......

Yes thank you bigdtd, it was the negative battery cable. When you are ready to ride sometimes the simple things are too simple.

Thanks again!

your bike is too new to have a catastrophic failure, glad its going now. stuff comes loose all the time on these babies. go over your fasteners often.
