Advise for Prostar anyone?
Would appreciate any advise from some of you that have ran Pro Star in the past. I am kicking around the idea of racing the Indy race in Street ET and also the Real Street. Here's the problem, I talked to tech and they gave me a list of things to check. The one I am hung up on is the 3" clearance. I have Muzzy three hole links on the rear and they are set on the bottom hole (lowest). I have the fork tubes slid down so they are flush with the top of the mount and I am running a SS Muzzys pipe. It looks to me that even if I slid the forks back to the stock position I would still be too low. Oh yeah, I weigh 162 in shorts and I am on Shinko's front and rear. To me this rule does not make much sense. I understand they want to prevent oil downs from people coming down too hard from wheelies but I don't think raising a bike up, which makes it more wheelie prone is the solution. I race the bike as it sits with no problem with the front wheel coming up and can consistantly get 1.44-1.47 60's. I know this isn't great for a 64" bike but I am not leaving like a grandma either. Thanks.

Hard fast rule, 3" ground clearance is needed for Real Street. If you have a sidewinder you can remove your lower qtr panels on the 14 to help gain some clearance. For a standard pipe the measurement will be at the lowest hard part, likely the exhaust header, for the 3".
Good luck and hope to see you there.

Do you know if the clearance is the same for Street ET?

strap it with the stock suspension, maybe one hole down on the rear links.
