Results of the engine knock!!
well guys i picked my bike up saturday, the tech thought it was the cam chain tensioner so he ordered one and put it on, to no avail!! so the bike has 900 miles on it approx and he put synthetic oil in like some of you guys talked about it has quieted it down but still there. The tech stated Kawasaki says they dont have a knock in the 14 engines and it is not a problem, but later in the conversation the technical advisor stated they have had 3 engines in and completely dissassembled, micd, guaged, and cannot find THE PROBLEM!! So in other words there is a problem they just dont want too admit too it. Well just thought id share that with you guys im going to run the synthetic for awhile and see if it goes away.

well that knock goes away after it gets hot but its not like a rattle at inital start up then goes away mine is after it comes off high idle then will be constant until you get it hot and changes with rpms but goes away at 2600 rpm.

Same as mine ... and if i can't make it blow up with 500+ 1/4 miles passes i would say it's not a problem ...It's piston rattle so don't sweat it , keep riding and have fun ...Smokin...

It will rattle until enough oil pressure builds up to maintain itself. I've observed that bikes with removed throttle body secondary have cold idle issues at times, and when your idle is low, oil pressure drops and you might hear more chain noise. Ride your shit until it blows, and build up a 1570 block with a spring tensioner. That will fix everything.

really? never a problem here. check your throttle sensor position(like raptors post said) or if you have the dynojet lcd you can see what it is all the time. at idle on a cold start the throttle position shows 2% until warmed up. if the throttle position is not calibrated you would see this issue. also reload maps every oil change, keeps the programming fresh.
sorry to threadjack, no knocks here at 3500
