Post some pics... I am sure everyone would like to see your 14 green... Should have been factory this year. Although I heard from my dealer that the zx12 sold poorly when they put out the kawi green instead of the dark candy green.

Hey Tony, how are the Pilos Roads behaving for you? Have the on the old 11 and considering them also for the 14 once the OEMs are gone

I wish I knew. I only road up the street with them. I'll let you know after the weekend. It was a gamble. I have always loved the look (tread pattern) but I was worried they may be too hard and I would end up spinning (especialy since I went up 2 teeth in the rear). I am waiting for the Pilot Road 2 (two compound) to come out. They wont be out until at least the end of the year. Did you like you Pilot Roads? Did they spin too easy?

sczx14socal,
Love to see that green 14 please.

I like them on the 11. No spinning or traction problems, then 11 is about 40 HP / 25 ft.lb. short on the 14. Have always run Michelins on it since the original Battleaxes wore out, for years I did the TX15/TX25 combo, then when discontinued, I went with the Macadams 90, and 100's after that. Now it's the Pilot Roads. Loved them all. I do know abot the new Pilot 2 coming-up. Have high expectations of them.

Looks pretty good.
I never was a fan of the green though.
My friend rides a blue gsxr1000, painted the rims blue, with only 1 - 6"white diagonal stripe across the rim between the spokes, and it looks sharp, especiallly when the bike is rolling!

A black one on green might look cool.

I think a little green piping and the decals will set it off right... right now the green is over-powering, but it IS daring and I think that is super cool! For all you know you might start a trend of free thinkers; scary... good job!

I think you could pull it off with some-more green. Not too much, but just enough to balance out the scheme!
Yeah, I wanted also to say be careful not to paint too much green because I think that would be overkill. Okay, I'm done.

Thread hijack:

Nelson Taylor:

Didn't Keith "Shine" Dennis do 8 sec 1/4 on Brock's bike...I know he tried once and ran 9.0x in some high heat and humidity, but I thought Brock told me in person he did an 8.89 or something near there?

Love the Kawi green. Wish the 14 came factory in that color. Do think you need some green accents on the bike, or, if you have the $$$$$ go green all the way!

Almost bought the 10R just for the color. But I am gettin toooo old to get that nutty in the twisties!!! Though maybe I can find a good deal on used one to add to the garage!

Slates, I haven't heard that, but I wouldn't doubt it. I'm sure some one has already eclipsed the mark. Ryan was close to hitting before the bike even hit the showroom floor.

Ok Tony you can have your thread back (lol) -- sorry.

Steve & Dave, you guys are a trip. I was sleeping in for sure. To much pizza and milk did not go well last night. Here's the pics so far. Also, I need your opinions. The first pic shows the sponsore kit that I have. I did not put them on yet. I am on the fence about doing it. I think it may be over kill. Shit I am not even sure if I like the cans on the windshield. Yes or no on the sponsor kit (decals are white as shown)?

Love the monster decals...not the cans on the windshield.

Tonytooth, I still think that the bike would look better with some green fins, some green on the front of the fairing, tank, and rear tail section offset with some nice pinstriping....of course it's much easier when I'm spending your money...

I think the zx14 anf kawi labels should be green now to match.
Needs a dark tinted windscreen too!

Slates, I agree but I need to be sure what I want to do because that will be permanent. Those are the harder decisions.

Dubious, I totally agree with you. My originaly plan was to buy new ones and have them powder coated or painted. I will probably do that.
Windscreen, windscreen, windscreen... I went to order one recently and couldn't get what I want. I am not a fan of Zero Gravity because they dont black out the bottom area to hide the back of the cluster and wires. I love puig but I dont want a race (double bubble), I want the standard oem shape in dark smoke. Cycle Gear ddn't list that version as available. Puig website is not working for me. I cant remember if they listed it. Dont think they did.

I agree with dubious too, a little more green. I suspect the black/white decals may be way overkill and take the clean look away.

I like the way it looks right now!

I knew it needed some green on the body since the wheels, but I didn't realize the monster kit would be THAT nice on it
