Speedohealer Install Questions
Hey guys,,, After trying the search feature for a hour, because i know ive read about this before..i figured i just ask... Im installing a speedohealer on my 07 ZX14... i hooked up the wires into the harness the way i thought they should go... nothing....no LED flash.. question is... which colored wires go where... since the speedohealer colored wires dont match the stock color wires... in laymen terms this is what i have.... on one connector...stock colors are pink, yellow, black ...the speedohealer choices are white, red, black ..... the other connector...stock colors are.. pink, blue/yellow, black/yellow... the speedohealer choices are orange, green, black...... i tried this- pink to red, yellow to white, black to black the other connector i went with... pink to green, blue/yellow to orange, black yellow to black... i turned the ignition on (didnt start or move the bike).. went through the instructions numerous times....nothing... speedohealer light didnt flash at all..not once... any help would be appreciated..

Doesn't the healer effect the gear indicator? Says you're in 5th sometimes when you're in 6th?

On the ZX-14's 3-pole speed sensor plug:
power = Pink
ground = Black with Yellow stripe
signal = Blue with Yellow stripe

Thanks guys ill give it a try,,,from what ive read as long as you dont change the stock gearing ...by more than a tooth... the gear indicator should be fine... The TRE is the one that mess's with the indicator... thats as i understand it

Oh ok. Well, that's why I haven't messed with my sprockets yet. I'll be getting me a 16 tooth soon then.

16 tooth and S/H here and the only gear it messes with is 6th. It will initally indicate 6th, and then drop down to 5th. No big deal for me since it indicates all the lower gears correctly.....TB

Oh, well that's what I thought I read on here. I really like for my gear indicator to work correctly, but if going to a 16 tooth will help me at the track, I might go ahead and get one.

Mine was affected and I have stock gearing. I notice it mostly in 6th, but it appears to affect 3-6. Never noticed it in second.
