oh come fuckin on now dude... that's really pathetic. We're just reporting the facts as confirmed by Kawasaki. If you wanna stick your head in the sand and your fingers in your ears and go "lalalalalala" that's fine, but it doesnt change the facts.

strange that no other magazine, publication, organization, or individual ever duplicated your results!
i live in the tampa bay area, drive in heat all the time with shitty traffic near the beach, never a problem, nor with 6 others i know of on the area
also let me know when someone can actually buy an 08 busa, i called all the dealers on central florida, not a sniff of them here, just the white whales

I'm amazed that in one of the 3 hottest states in america (Florida), NONE of us are having overheating problems with our ZX14s. A second fan on my bike would serve as no more than extra weight.

I wonder if the bikes shipped to Southern climes are filled with less anti freeze and thus would have better cooling. I live in MN so it gets real cold here. I checked the coolant and it looked like a 50/50 mix to me. My bike runs very hot in town ALWAYS.

Ad water wetter to your 50/50 anti freeze

FBA let me clarify, my 14 will run to the top bar if I let it idle 15 minutes, but it never "overheats". Overheating to me is when the indicater is flashing and spewing water, and according to the book when its not doing that I have no worries. 11,000 miles of Florida hell, and overheating has not been an issue for my ZX14.

Well good for you. You're like a Myna bird. You have said this many times. WE ALL KNOW YOUR BIKE DOES NOT OVERHEAT.
BTW read! I said mine runs hot.

I am putting in full Synthetic oil over the 4th. I also might try draining some of the coolant and replacing it with water and water wetter. It;s just a matter of time before I get stuck in traffic on a hot day and it spews. Temp light has flashed a few times even while stopped for a long stop sign. If I lived in a rural area I would have no problems. It's a 4 bars on the highway.

Those three changes make a HUGE difference in the operating temp. I am sure you won't have any heat realated problems with that setup. Good job............

Mine was very hot ( hit top bar often but never overheated) until I changed to Engine Ice with Water Wetter. Now it runs at 2 bars sometimes 3. The only time I hit top bar was after a 20 mile 80-100 mph run and then a complete stop in a traffic jam. Hit the top bar while stopped but cooled back quickly to 2-3 when we got rolling again. Cant recommend the change enough.
Also never had a problem on a hot road track day.

The article agreed with you on this point and actually gave '07 awards to '08 bikes that were available for testing. While the new 'Busa may not be vaporware, I think it is a stretch to classify it as an '07 or even '07 1/2. The new 'Busa looks like it will be on showroom floors for the Fall, which doesn't seem like and early release to me at all. I guess my point is that no matter how much marketing there is on the 'Busa it is still not available for testing.

...let's get back to the title and not the overheating issues, shall we?
...I think that's lame reasoning on your part, fish...if the title says 2007 then its about a 2007...there's only ONE 2007 title and its for bikes available introduced as a 2007 in 2007... not what will be available in 2008 whether or not Kawaski's, Suzuki's or anyone else's 2008 stuff is basically the same as a 2007...they evaluated the availlable 2007 models...period...
...if we go by your rules, then we might as well say, "But they haven't released the 2012 models yet and its the same as a 2007 model and we should we should wait and evaluate that year first."...then we'd be constanly waiting until there's a really big change only complain that they're comparing apple to oranges now...like comparing apples fresh off the tree at an orchard versus genetically altered super transformer apples grown from a petri dish in a science lab

BTW... did that article talk about the bikes overheating?
Fish, what happened to you, man? You're an admin for a Kawasaki site and you're jockin' the Suzuki's nuts.
It's 2007. The article is for 2007 bikes. Next year at this time, there'll be a 2008 winner and we'll see what the Busa does. But right now...it's not frikkin' 2008!
The 14 is king and hypothetical future specs doesn't dethrone it for 2007.
