lowering links for ZX-14
I know that muzzy makes a pair of lowering links for the 14, can anyone tell me exactrly how much they can lower and if that's going to compromise two up riding and ground clearance?

if you lower the front and put the links on the last notch, its way to low , unless you are drag racing... I had them, and kept it in the middle hole and had the front lowered 1 and a 1/2 inches... with the settings set as high as they could go on the shock and the spring tensioned as tight as I could get it, I could ride two people... it woud still hit sometimes... I would order the fully adjustable ones if I was you.. I have them now, and you can raise it and lower it all by your self in a matter of minutes with 2 wrenches... very nice!

at the moment I have the front lowered approx 1/2 inch, I can go another 1/2 without any issues, is that correct? Where do you get the adjustable links from? That would be handy to have, when I want to ride two up.

Don't forget to shorten the kick stand when you lower the bike, or you will be making friends with your local paint shop.
I have the front down by 1 centimeter and leave the rear at standard height for road use, that way the sump plug survives and the bike handles just fine. For the track I lower the rear 3 inches and strap the front a little more. By using a combination of lowering and strapping on the front I find there is still some effective damping which is lost by just strapping all the way down.

Mine rides as hard as a rock, I still love it,.. I have the front at a 1 1/2 lower, and the back is about 2 now... You can get the adjustable links from Schnitzracing.com , Its a good place to buy from. I get a lot of stuff from them...

Try the Naarden Speedlinks, they are by far the highest quality and strongest links out there.

SPAMMER! j/k Nboy, if your 14 has a longer than stock swingarm, adjustable links will allow the perfect height, standard lowering links keep you at a certain setting, so your either to high or to low. wee
