Ya guys that is at the sweet JenningsGP track. That track and Homestead will serve as a warmup for Daytona in October, thats what I really wanna' ride

...I always thought get on the smallest bike you can ride comfortably...function follows form...which is why if I ever had the time to do track days, I'd start with a properly suspended SV650 for my 6-1/250lb angry Samoan mass
...I still think you're a smartass punk, stevefl, but props to you for taking it to the track

hey SV650 is AWESOME on the track. and as you know I try to keep the smartazz stuff in the smackhouse where it counts :P

I'm 6'2-
I can't make the move to a litre bike, I get the 600RR around the track quicker than my slow self can push a big bike. I am thinking about the new 600RR, The redesigned Honda is clearly the winner in the 600 class for '07. As good as my old '03 is running I may wait yet and see who does what in '08 as far as track bikes go.

You're right regarding the new RR. I rode one for about an hour on Monday (on the road) and it pops!
Dare I say it - a much more 'enjoyable ride' than the ZX6R
You're right - as much as I would love to gallop around a track on a thou the 600's are the bizzo. As you allude to its also a more realistic reflection of most non racer types abilities. More useable power, so forgiving and easy to flick around.
Mind you the WSB Supersport 600's are putting out about 130-140 at the back wheel!
I have been thinking about converting an 05 636 into a track bike and your post has helped answer some questions around this.
