Got my s-meg installed :) I finally got everything buttoned back up. I took off the passenger peg brackets and made my own bracket for the pipe because it looked funny on the left side with no pipe bolted to it. I rode it and it does feel faster. It's loud as hell compared to the dual slipons. I hope I don't get a ticket Here's a pic.

I am sure you will enjoy the exhaust. I enjoyed mine. I didn't like wearing ear plugs to ride the bike on the street, but the performance is worth it.

I don't think it's that loud, not to me anyways. The fuzz might think differently though. I love the crackle it has when you let off the throttle when riding. Yeah, I think I'll enjoy it ____________

I think Brock is making removeable silencers for the Smeg for long distance riding. I saw a link somewhere on this site where a guy had a prototype for dual cans, and I called up Brock and he said that they were in the works... wait. So you'll be able to buy just the insert that will make it quieter?

Yeah, and according to petdocz who has the prototype silencers, they work like a charm. They make the bike sound like it does with the huge stock cans with zero loss in performance and are quick and easy to install and remove. I am anxious myself to find out how far along Brock has come with those because they are not yet listed on his website. Personally I like doing long distance travels and that is when the noise will become a nuisance and a good time to use the silencers.

Heres how I handled the Psg peg situation. Took off the opposite side and like you thought the thing looked silly with just one peg. Bandsawed off the peg and the mount looks like it was made that way. I did buy an extra set incase I ever wanted them back.....TB

Masterblaster: Looks really great! Where did you get your ZX14 guard from? I like it.

Hell yeah I love it! No backfiring here. It crackles when decellerating, but that's it. I can be sitting still and rev it up and it will pop sometimes. But other than that, I haven't had it backfire on me when riding (but I haven't really rode it much yet). Did you do the airbox mod that the kit recommended? That's supposed to keep it from popping.
masterblaster, that looks great! Yeah, I remembered reading about you doing that a while back. I thought about getting some extra mounts off ebay and modding them like you did yours. But for now, I'll keep it like this.

I just got back from about a 20 mile ride and I did have a little back fire but not much. I got to test out some high rpm runs and man does it pull now! I noticed a pretty good difference from around 9000 to 11000. On a certain stretch of road I usually hit 120 on, I hit 130 on it in a shorter distance! You can't say enough about this exhaust. My only complaint is it's kinda loud for a long ride, but I'm going to be getting the insert sometime soon from brock. He wrote me and said you can call and get it now for $99.95 minus 10% for having the brocks system.

Hey johnsonzx14, I rode some curves today in a little bit higher altitude than around the house and I did experience some big pops. After I got back to a lower altitude, it wasn't as bad. I'm thinking that had something to do with it.

if you have brocks pipe and pc w/map its tuned, but go ahead and find out for sure, brocks has maps for dyno only and real world. the dyno maps do not take ram air into consideration which will affect performance off the dyno.
