Swingarm Extensions

Hello fellas, first off I would like to let you all know that I am very impressed with all of your knowledge. I have been building custom choppers for years and have recently got back into the sportbikes. I bought a '07 Black 14. Very happy with the bike, but am always interested in the customizing.....I was wondering if the swingarm extensions will handle the weight of myself, 220, and my wife at approx 140. Looking to do touring and some heavy launches. Thanks again for all the valuable info.

by the way guys I was just kidding about the touring. I plan to drag after adding nitrous tune 40 shot of spray and extensions. Wife does plan on riding on weekends and was just wondering if set-up would allow.

The extensions should hadle the weight no problem but the problem is going to come in the softness of the rear suspension, you probably will not be able to lower it much or it will rub on the undertail with a passenger and if you go over a bump with her on the back KISS THE OIL PAN GOODBYE, but if you keep the ass end stock height you shouldnt have a problem but it will slow you down a little... And welcome to the board you will love it here as well as the bike

My brother has the Muzzy's three hole lowering links and is very similar in weight. He has his on the middle hole and likes the set up. He is good for riding around town two up and good at the strip. One thing you might consider down the road is the aftermarket seat pan from catalyst composites. This will drop you down into the bike nicely for the strip. It takes just a few minutes to switch bake and forth. Comes in black gel coat so you don't even have to paint it if you don't want to. You can find them at www.schnitzracing.com. You do have to shave the holes that the seat tabs slide through, but I would not give mine up for nothing.

Appreciate the advice guys, I am planning on getting the extensions from Roaring Toyz. I put the fairing/windshield spikes on and as far as I am concerned they are top knotch. My main concern was if the ext would handle the extra weight, I dont know if I will lower the rear.
