lighter wheels, lighter subframe assembly.
A loss of about 25 lbs combined would be reasonable, and would remain competitive with what suzuki will likely offer.

The year the twin turbo V-6 2400 Hayabusa Supa Pimp edition arrived, with optional 120' streched swingarms and chrome spinners in the "StreetStrenf" package.

Lighter wheels, factory gearing options, 3 settings on the ignition system (race, road, rain). Factory supported free flowing exhaust option that would be included in the warranty. Digital dash with rear veiw camera mount instead of mirrors.

Don't ask for much do I?

I hope the 2008 is updated!!!...Here are some of the changes I would make...

A slightly thinner seat-similar to the new gixxer750...
Smaller front fender...
Tach located in center with larger numbers and a digital speedo like the new gixxer1000...
Forks with less rake, more uprite making wheel closer to motor...
5 more HorsePower and 3lbs. more torque...
Better head, intake, exhaust valves and cams-like the ZX12...
Get rid of the lack of low end power...
3 way engine management switch-similar to the gixxer1000 but for DragRacing...
Closed loop fuel injection so there is no need for a Power Commander...

I think it will be the same bike but some new colors ....The new Busa from what is leaking out is not going to be a zx14 killer...I may match it in stock form but will it repond to mods like our zx14 ?...Anyway it will take a year for the new Busa to become Fast ... So 09 look for mother Kawi to turn the wick up ... Maybe a full 1400 cc , 3 way switch to speed up the flies, a little body work to match the Busas aeros...One thing we do know and see is Kawi means to get back on top and stay there...While zook is happy to do a light make over to the old Busa and call it a day ....

Smokin<-----Has a great point. I don't think it has to do with whether the busa will beat the 14 in stock form. It will have to do with how well the new busa will take bolt on mods. If people can get a 14 down to around 9 flat in the 1/4 mile with less than $2k in mods, can the busa do the same thing?

No one who is really into performance leaves their bike in stock form for very long. The very most basic mods are a PC3 and aftermarket exhaust of some sort.

I can't wait for September to see what is on the drawing board. I really don't see them doing an upgrade yet... it is only a couple years out the box. Most likely it will be just a color change but I pray it isn't going to be the same black, blue, fire engine red that they have been doing so far. It would be nice to see a silver, or a metallic plum like on the 2002 ZX12R.

Off topic sort of for the 14 forum but you left the door open for 2008 thoughts.

Someone come out with an inline 6.

I remember the days when I was umm 17 dunno long time ago the CBX was released. I was working at Hess Gas station and one came in along with a CB750F. Back in 1978 Honda was actually seriuos about performance and both bikes had Kerker pipes and K&N filter pods.

I was drooling and dreaming over teh bikes, the CBX with that cool dash ( for the times back than) the owners were cool and after some converstaion the CBX put on a show when he left.

That sound of the CBX leaving hard..like the V-Max with a pipe not many that have a truly unique sound they all sound good but a CBX or V-Max on the are gas pure music.

Don't matter if complicated, heavy or slow if I had the money back than I would had bought one.

I would love too see someone bring one out or a really big n nasty v-four

Rick

Make a nekid version with a non monoque (sp) frame version with a small fairing , no clip on's, don't screw it up, by making it heavy and de-nut it with revised cams and added weight.

A performance standard would be big seller us over 40 crowd . Most of us are settled by now, learned our lessons on cc and debt, bills are paid, decent jobs but we want a standard bike with balls! we still like speed and hp!

...make a dragstrip-only version like HD does with its special VRod...smaller capacity fuel tank, rear slick, wheelie bars, solo drag seat, Muzzy Smeg and air-shifter, lowered suspension, huge tach w/huge shift light, and other basic drag-bike stuff...and in any color you want as long as its the 2000 Kawasaki 12R metallic-green....all for $11K~$12K msrp...build it and they will come....

Hopefully total redesign of the seat allowing one to not remove 4 screws and take half the bike apart just to ride a chick on the back

Lose the whole banana seat concept

Green!!!!! PLEASE!!!
OHLINS!!!!!!!!! NOW!!!
They gotts do something with the suspension. Even if they plan on doing a long production run like the Busa. Its nice but this IS a high speed high end bike. At 6500 miles my rear shock seems like toast. The forks are fine with a fluid change and adjustment, but the rear seems to be going away and I dont thrash my 14 nearly as much as some here do.
I'm getting like stevewfl. After my Salt Flat run is done I feel I'll be going another direction.

The banana seat has got to be the one thing I can honestly say I HATE regarding the appearance of the bike. I never minded the grill which was a big put-off for many people, but that banana seat gets me.
