Jeff...Smokin' is one of the most knowledgeable guys on this site. He can tear engines apart and put 'em back together with his eyes closed, not to mention that he's about the fastest Drag racer around here...if you want help around here, you really need to be smarter about how you post around here. BTW, I have a 160 IQ and I can show you the Timeslips
Fly's = Secondary Throttle Plates, which on the 14, reside on top of the primary throttle plates (butterflies). The secondary's are controlled by the ECU and in all gears under 6th,only open fully at 6-7K. The RW low end TQ at 3500 with the Fly's in is about 55 FTLBS, whereas with removal and mapping, ends up at about 85 FTLBS. Does that answer your question? If you've ever owned a Busa, you'll understand what those numbers mean and know you'll know what to do. If you apologize to Lee, he might be helpful to you in the future.
Oh and BTW, for a 156 IQ, you don't have a great grasp on punctuation or grammar...just buggin' ya though.

Thanks, The only message i saw from him was the crack about forest Gumps IQ now i see it was not meant for me. I dont drag race but i do hold a collection of nice bikes in my garage and would love to improve the lower end on my Zx14 and i greatly appreciate the help. So if i buy a power commander will it map my injection for me or do i need to hook it up to a computer.

Naw...call Brock, get the PC3 from him -- need a pipe from him too. He'll send you his maps made for that setup and there's plenty of info on this site on fly removal. You won't believe the the gains...insane! Pure power wheelies at under 4K!
You can try different maps that he supplies, but in that case you'll need to use a PC to download them to the PC3.

Thanks Steve! Jeff Martin can't take a joke. He sent me a PM, calling me a dick, etc. That I should ride my bike and not my keyboard. I told him that's great that he can ride 24/7. I sleep, work and have down time at home, so I envy him being able to ride so much. lol
Some people just don't know how to joke around. New guys are the worst. Come on though, it's 2007, you don't run in to too many people that can't work the net that well. Sorry, for making fun I guess.
Just teasing and having fun Jeff, no need to freak out.

Wow! It's 2007!

No dude thats Me!
I'm new at all this sh*t too.
Hang there Martin, it will become clearer as you hang out and read more.
I got my ZX about a year ago. Pulled my flies, installed a full exhaust system plus a pcIII and loaded a map all by my lonesome last week. With alot of dumb questions and reading alot of posts here and at www.zxninja.com
You'll find alot of good stuff and alot of opinionated crap.
But these 2 sites are invaluable for info on our bikes. Got some great riders, racers and just plain good folks that are willing to point you the right way. In their opinions.
AND you'll find some frickin trolls too.
A really good source of ZX stuff is Brocks diaries at Dragbike.
Happy hunting

It's no wonder that Jeff wasn't able to get the joke fast enough, the damn meter didn't have a brocks setup and map. I mean c'mon NinjaNick, you shouldn't go after newbies stock... it's just... not...... fair!
