Rear seat cowl screws

Mine doesn't have any. Surely the bike is supposed to come with 'em from the dealer . . . .right . . .??

crazx14, thanks for letting me know the bike will stay together without them. thats what I dislike about my 14 bike the most, every time I put a chick on it I have to go through a rear seat removal ritual.

No problem. It can shift very slightly but stays on just fine when riding. However, it isn't that difficult to take it on/off with the seat still on w/o the screws - I'm just concerned that one day I'll walk up to my bike sans cover if not screwed down . . .

Exactly what I was thinking, great idea. Either buy somebody's used stock seat, or I might consider the Corbin, then I would leave the cover on the Corbin, and put the old stock one on when my daughter wants to ride.

great tip, thanks. $40 for a used seat is nothing compared to foolin' with the screws

Hey Guys,, i talked about this when i first picked my bike up... its the same way with the Haybusssa's Grab rail (needs to be unbolted to fit rear bubble on)... the extra seat is the way to go....i still dont know why Kawasaki didnt just make the rear cowl snap on over the seat...maybe locked in with the key?

Screw the screw back into the mount and just pull it (wiggle) out. Worked fine for me.

Steve I think you can get these little quick disconnect thingys (excuse the very scientific definition) at a hardware store that work good I myself just use the two front screws to ease taking it off

One thing we all agree on, there is just no RIGHT way to deal with it considering the phooked up design. But wow all the ways mentioned beats the 4 screws I've been dealing with...thanks!

where?

I'd about rather than continue to remove/replace the screws every time a chick gets on the back.

Plus the bike looks horrid with the plastic covered removed with noone on the back.
