Truck bed - Ramps?
Does anyone know a brand/model of a NICE set of ramps for a truck bed? Something I can load the 14 without going through the ritual I see a friend go through of stepping up on a cooler then in the bed as the bike is launched up a tiny 6" wide ramp??? A forum search wasn't too helpful.
I'm trying to avoid the hassle of storing a trailer somewhere just to haul one bike. I also want to avoid red broken plastic all over the ground under my tailgate.
Thanks

Steve............after you get your ramp choice figured out, get a Baxley Sport Chock for the back of your truck. Roll the bike up the ramp..........get off and secure your tie-downs ( no need to tighten them to the point of blowing out your fork seals anymore ) by yourself without any fear of dropping or scratching your bike. Makes for a much more relaxing experience................. You can still use it anywhere when the bike is not in the truck because you don't have to secure it in the bed. With the tie-downs it stays totally still.

wow, both the ramp and the chock is awesome. thanks for the tips!
Nick are you purchasing a sweet ramp?
Its about hard not to purchase that thing... Its pricy but I wouldn't have to worry about storing/parking a trailer somewhere.

I have exactly this setup - Sport chock and the the three ramp setup shown. I bought my ramps about 3 - 4 years ago when they were not called Black Widow. The other difference is that they can not be bolted toghether easily as the new one appears to be. One thing to be careful about is that, at least with mine, the two smaller outer ramps flex differently when you are putting your feet down which is a little unnerving with bikes such as my old ZX12R and the 14, not too bad with lighter race bike etc. I used mine alot until I bought the MotoTote carrier to stick in the hitch.
The sport chock is awesome - Steve - you will like it at the track particularly when nobody is around to help with race stands, ride up and into and jump off bike!!
Good luck.

I will get that sometime, yes. Right now I have a 1foot wide short ramp I purchased back in 2004 that SUCKS! You have to PUSH it up and down because it's so thin. It's so short it's steep as hell. Have to find a ditch to back truck in to get it lowered to even make it easier. I like this ramp he posted...it's MUCH better.
