Another 14 vs. Busa Scenario

I just wondered what you guys think of this scenario...

Him:

Hayabusa w/ Yosh Tri-oval exhaust.
Lowered, literally slammed.
Metzler M-1 rear tire
His Weight: 175-180 lbs.

VS.

Me:

ZX-14 w/ Muzzy full Stainless
Power Commander
Flies Removed
Lowered front and rear w/ Drag Strap
Shinko Stealth Rear Tire
My Weight: ~230 lbs.

Both bikes have stock gearing and wheel base. I also have a 40 shot of nitrous, but I would like to race him without using it. Our riding skills are about equal.

So, obviously the weight is the biggest factor.

What do you guys think?

This guy is dying to run me. He really wants a piece of my 14!

Is this from a roll or dead stop?? You giving up 50 pounds you better out ride him ...Don't miss a gear, wheely or bump the limiter or you are dead meat... If you were the same weight and skills my money would be on you...

It really depends on who is the better rider! Equal riders your bike will even out the weight difference.
So it then comes down to who gets the holeshot.

You win all races on a computer. Go out and do it. You win, you win. If you lose, practice some more, change the gearing and race again. Good Luck.

if it's on the street you might have a better advantage with your weight...on the track it would be close...it takes alot more bike to get us heavy guys going........Damn laws of physics.................

You had better ride it like you stole it buddy or he is gonna have your ass on a platter. You have an advantage with the strap so use it on take off.

Thanks for the info. I will have the nos button engaged just in case!

I will definitely let you guys know what happens when it all goes down.

It will most likely be on the drag strip. I like real world races that have lights and timers.

I cannot let you down b/c this is for some serious street cred. Indy is a Suzuki town where Suzuki rules all! I must take them down.

I did not know that riding through certain towns could be so dangerous! Lol! Is being the only Kawi rider in a town full of Suzuki's like being the only white person in Compton?

Well, good luck to ya, and we are all rooting for you. Keep your hand off that Nos button if the other guy doesn't have it because then it would be a hollow victory, and if what you say is true then you want to win with honor or else you will still not get the respect.
