16t sprocket too much for stock wheelbase?

I got a bone stock '07 14. Has links in the back in middle hole. Forks up 1/2" and strapped all the way down. This helped my wheelie problems immensely. If I put on the 16 tooth sprocket, will I be looking at the sky again? Any running it on stock wheelbase?

no mine for the moment is stock wheelbase with the 16. Bike takes off alot faster. Will pop wheelies easier. Mine lowered a little more than yours. I love it on the take off. It aloud me to release the clutch soon.

I have not lowered mine or straped it, i have a 16t, Muzzy full system and power commander, I dont feel it is wheele happy. If you want to see what it is like to not-not be able to do wheeles just gear down a 1000, scarry, too ahort of a wheel base. I feel the 14's arnt that much faster, they can just put it to the ground without going up too much and have a better top end power curve. P.S. I think they are greared for top end factory, the bike felt like it was suposed to have a 16t on it from the factory. Much better, I have not removed my fly's yet, keep that in mind on your desition, If you plan on remeving them, I would wate on the going down a tooth. I feel my bike with what is has after I remove the fly's will be looking at a lot of sky. I am like you on keeping it down, I think my next step with be lowering and bolt-on extentions.

Of course the zx14 is overgeared!
It is geared for 200 mph, stock has the power for about a real world 190, and is limited to 186 indicated or real world 182.

Gear it for real world 176 (with a speedohealer), like the literbikes and allow it to demonstarte how much more muscle it really has.

Everyone keeps comparing literbikes geared for 180 to a bike geared for 200!

I felt the same, it was almost like it was meant to have a free flowing exhaust , no secondaries, and 16/41 gearing.
Anything lower for the street I found to be entertaining, but less effective as the tire spins all the time in bottom 3 gears.

Those 3 simple mods turn it into a real pavement pounder.
You'll fall in love with it all over again!

Unleash the beast within!

Mines lowered 1 inch frt and rear, and found it would spin still more than wheelie.
I could burn up a tire in about 800 miles, no burnouts!!!

Thanks for the replies. I already put the sprocket on and it's great. I'm already lowered and strapped, not much difference as far as wheelies. Unfortunately, when I took it to the track the clutch went out. Now I'm waiting for a clutch and a set of heavy duty springs. Hopefully they will help the new clutch last longer under my fat ass.

As soon as I can afford a PC, I'm gonna try pulling the flies. Hopefully won't have to slip the clutch so much on launch.

Is the ZX14 front sprocket the same as another Kawi bike?

I am not sure, but I seem to recall maybe the ZX11?

Same as the ZX-11 also, but the ZX-11 is already a 17 tooth.

LOL
Only one who, list frt sproket for the 14 is vortex and JT
However the zx12r, and zx11, and zxr12 all run 530 on same spline output shaft design.

Any aftermarket 16 tooth for the other bikes will work.
