Corsa III Dual Compound

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Pirelli Diablo Corsa III Dual Compound tires out on the 14? I'm really leaning toward these for my next set. I want something I can ride the interstate with and not wear out in the middle, but can still go hit the curves and not worry about grip. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Why would we? There's always some company is trying to copy Michelin's technology. This time its the Pilot Power 2CT spinoff from Pirelli. I'll stick with the real Pilot Power 2CT's and leave the knock-offs to you guys.

Here's where the innovation is the others wanna' copy:
"The Pilot Power 2CT tire is yet another example of Michelin's strategy of applying innovations developed in competition to road tires. No other tire manufacturer in the world transfers its racing technology so consistently or as quickly"

"The properties and characteristics of Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires go beyond the newrubber compound. When combinedwith a tire casing that's engineered for outstanding responsiveness, Michelin 2-Compound Technology delivers razor-sharp handling."

Now the ones on here that are consistently defeated by Michelin rubber will speak up and be so thankful their 2nd best tire company is copying Michelin with some second hand knock-offs but thats all good for just one more tire debate too

both GUNNER and myself use pirelli tri compounds - very satisfied thus far. i used to run pirelli supercorsas but couldnt get more than 800 miles or so out of em NO BURNOUTS. ive been thru many tires and brands, and these are great for the money. i definetly reccomend the corsa III - quick warm up and longevity, and can handle the power a big bike throws down. probably buying new sets for both 12 and 14 from bill zx1kr soon.
dont be offended by steve, he can be rather volatile at times

Everything I've read about the Pirellis has been positive. I'm going with the Stradas for the summer (after lots of British input. UK and Wa. state have simular weather). I will pull them for my Salt Flat run. As far as others opinions on the internet;
i listen to reason and experience on multiple tires. Strong swings like stevewfl's make me wonder??!!

I am running a Corsa III on the front and a Strada on the rear, after 3000 miles they look to be good for at least another 3000 miles. I can break the Strada loose but it is very controlled when it does brake traction. The Corsa III gives great feedback and tracking at the limit of the rear.
Going back to this combo. with next set....

I agree the Pirellis will last longer than the Michelins and stick less, thats been proven so many times over....

Well if the michelins are dual compound, shouldn't they have high milage? I want whichever will stick in the curves and wear less in the middle during interstate rides.

i guess ill try the pilot powers next. because tires are expendable, testing them out to find which one is best for your riding seems most logical.

Have they gone for harder middle than usual and good side rubber, or good middle rubber and softer side rubber than usual?

Will we get better grip from the side and similar wear on the middle, or greater life in the middle and similar grip to previous?

Or a combination - softer sides than previous and harder middles than previous?

I had read somewhere else that they hadn't made the middle harder or given it longer wear than previous tyres, but had rather left the middle the same and made the sides softer.

If that's the case, I'll be going with the Pirelli's

Am not sure which manufacturer was being referred to or if it was dual compounds in general.

the harder the middle, the less traction, no matter what the sides/middle compound is. the 14 spins a wheel going straight so easily I demand the best tire. I've tried many and its game over I only use the best - Michelins.
