PC3 (Map wont load) Help???
Hey guys I just installed my PC3 went to load the stk exhaust, stk airfilter, secondary flies removed and the computer is telling there is an error sending the power commander the map. I even tried to reset the PC3, it wont even let me do that.
Everything else works.
Throttle Position %
Rpm
Identifies the serial #
Any idea's guys.
Anybody else had this problem.
I've sent Dynojet an email as well.

Ok after unpluging it from the bike I connected the 9volt battery and its atleast showning me the already installed map.
Now the problem is the map is incompatable 263 !=199 version. This is the error message I am getting.
What this means I dont know. Any idea's

U have to know that the pc3 will dry up the 9 volt battery in 15 minutes...

If the pc3 doesn't recognize the map, just rename it to something it will recognize. I had to do that to one of my maps. Also, make sure the max rpm of the map doesn't go past the redline of the 14. I don't think it will let it load if it's showing more rpm's.

You have an old map that is incompatable with your PC. Open the PC software on your laptop for a new map. Then, open up another instance of the software with the map you have. Highlight all the map cells, click copy....then click on the blank map and click paste. This will convert the old map format to the new one.
Had the same problem with maps made for the PCIII for the ZX14...only problem was that I had a repinned 10R PCIII, so it wouldn't recognize the maps. Just copy and paste, then save...go to the bike and d/l the new save map, should work.

Thanks I'll try it again this weekend.
I think I have one of the repinned PC3 also.
Its a 244-410 instead of 244-411.

Make sure that the cord is pluged in all the way.I have found that it plugs in then you need to push it a little harder to set it all the way in the power commander...

Make sure the map isnt marked "read only'" or something stupid like that too
