Short Shifter

I bought the lousy Corbin lowering brackets and had the same problem of having the shifter too close to my boot. My buddy took 3/4" out and now all is well. pics

Other than the problem with the shifter, how do you like the Corbin kit? With a 36" inseam and bad knees legroom has always been a issue for me on sportbikes so I'm just looking for your feedback overall.

Thanks.

Much improved over stock. I am going to try the Buell footpegs which should give me even more room.

Do you mean in conjunction with the corbin kit since it is just the peg you are replacing?

Sounds like a plan.

Have you read the posts on this site about the Buell pegs?

Yes, I am going to combine the two. Probably be a couple of weeks.

I have combined the two. Doesn't work with the stock shifter. A different shifter would make it work. The leg room you gain is very comfortable. Now I just have the Buell pegs on and it still needs a different shifter!!! I find myself missing shifts because of the angle of the peg to the shifter! I'm at the point now where it's either a new shifter or put the stockers back on!!!

Jim K, sounds like a shifter mod would be the next logical progression considering where you've come from.

Either way let us know how it works out.
