Fantastic - I'm an east-coaster, but if I remember correctly Valley of Fire park is north of the Hoover Dam? I seem to recall from my drinking days something about blasting those roads in a Z-28.
Anyway, these pics make me wanna' crank the 600

Im from the East Coast (CT)...went to Vegas recently (never been) for a convention with four other guys... on the day off we had two guys played golf...i was going to hoover dam on a bus tour...i asked the 4th guy...what are you doing? He said renting a Harley..going out to Hoover Dam & Meade Lake.....i said im there!!! Hadnt been on a street bike in like 4 years (Hayabussa)... go to the Harley place in my blue London Fog Jacket ( i fit right in as you can imagine) ...rented a Beanie Helmet,...had to buy Sun-glasses... what do i know ive alway's had full face helmets.. the guy looks at me...saids im going to need you to go around the parking lot without stopping before i rent you this Brand New 07 Harley.... im like....ooooo k... i straddle over this 700lb bike.... notice its got floorboards & forward controls....im like great...not!!! .. i start it up... & instead of waiting for the fast idle to kick down.. i pop it in gear...& vrroooom...im off... now he's watching as i go to the end of the lot....trying to get my head straight with the controls..knowing i cant stop..also knowing this big ole Harley will probably not like me trying to make a U-Turn at the 20mph im going... and of course being 52 & not having ridden in 4 years... im not at my best....anyway all worked out well...15 minutes down the road i was fine... that ride is what convinced me to get another Motorcycle... and i have to admitt... on the big Harley...with the big ugly windshield..the forward controls....saddlebags...beanie helemt & sunglass's.. was one of the top 3 bikes rides ive ever taken.... The Camera i used for these is a Cannon 30D SLR,,,,the first shots where from the plane comming in,,,,,the camera wouldnt fit in the saddle bags with the lens on...so i had to keep stopping (when i saw something...which was often)... pull it out of the bags...attach the lens...take the shots....then break it down....etc... when we got to Valley of Fire State Park...i said forget this....i just kept the camera lens attached around my neck as i rode (tuff because its a pretty big camera with the lens) and i took a few shots while moving.. (the one of me in the mirror).... i take alot of pictures....didnt wont to bore you guys with to many

Well one of the flyers the street venders handed me... 3 girls for $99.00 bucks.... i asked if they were breathing...i opened the phone book..... WOW ...but they are called entertainers now...must have been 20 pages of listings..having never been to Vegas,,,i found it...quite...oh how do you say....educational!
