More track action tonight ....
I got to make 2 passes on Burnouts zx14 and it wasn't pretty ...Burnout has one of the Fiber Glass seat thingys ....It does put you lower in the seat but i was scared my skinny butt was going to fly off the back ...So i left real soft ( 1.50 60 foot ) and ran a 9.28 @ 150 ... Well i didn't fly off the back so on the second run i let it eat and fried the tire ....I was hoping to put BurnOut bikes in the 8s but not luck....The track tonight was pure crap , the track starter told me the only used half the VHT that they normaly use because it worked better ...Bull crap !!!!! it didn't work worth a crap !! SteddyTeddy was trying his new 40 shot and he just spun all over the track and got the best pass of 9.37 ...JesseJame82 on his zx14 was having the same problems with tire spin but did get a 9.32... The best i could muster was low 8.90s all night ....I was hooking ok out of the hole with a few 1.40s and one 1.38 60 footer but the bike would spin ever time i hit the air shifter ...I spun in 2- 3- 4 gear ....TonyTooth was there but didn't have his new racing leathers so he didn't get to try his 40 shot of spray .. I really wanted to see Tony go 8s with stock wheel base and spray but it wasn't ment to be ...Well there is allways next week ...Smokin...

Dammit. I am very upset I couldn't run. What a great night. Nobody there. I have new leathers in the mail on the way. Hopefully they fit this time.

you guys kill me these bikes don't run as fast as you say they do, and you surely don't have enough hp to spin the tire in 3rd and 4th LOL. My track has been the same way the last two times out hooks good off the line then tire spin.

I haven't counted all of my slips, but I must have made over a dozen passes last night. Same story for me, 9.5s on pump gas--enough to take out all of the street Busas there, but I had to leave all of the race bikes for Smokin'.

That was a 9.356 @ 147.08 with a shitty 60' and spinning on every shift. Track was so bad it was pretty much a waste of time last night, especially when I have almost a 2 hr drive to get there.

Worst I have ever seen the track. It usually hooks great. There were only about 6 big tire cars and the rest were all street cars. You know how they just tear up the track.

A little off topic, I'll be on the busa sight as soon as the approve me. name is nightmare! Now back on topic. Man I know the feeling of a shitty track night. I bothers me for about a day or two. I tend to beat myself up like it was my fault. Anyway, Hey smoke, just askin, why do you prefer the puch button method instead of the automatic module? I for one ride a guys busa on the track for him that has an automatic module. I also ride MRCLEAN's 14 which has the button set-up and my 14 which I foot shift. The only problem I can see with the automatic module is if I spin and the Rpm shoots to high, the bike shifts. Now with the push button, sometimes it struggles in 1st but everything else is fine. I love foot shifting and IMO I shift faster than the busa's automatic. Now on the other hand, HOTROD360's 14 has an automatic shifter and that thing shifts like lightning and has never missed a gear (knock on wood). SO how do you look at this?

Sorry i didn't see your post ...opps ....I use the horn button but have been thinking about hooking it up to my shift lite ....But my shift lite does not seem to be firing at the rpm i have it set at ...Sometimes it fires at 11,000 and other times it will hit the rev limiter before the lite goes off .... sucks does it not ...Smokin..

Yeah that kind of sucks for real! Making me have second thoughts about the light. I was going to use one and set it about a 1000 lower than the bike's shift point so I can release the nitrous button. My horn is the nitrous button because I considering running an automatic shifter. But if this is happening, I would still hold the button a little too long causing me to sometimes bang the rev limiter. Maybe I should just go with that launch control box from schnitz. At least then I can control how high the bike revs so I won't worry about any serious damages. Thanks for the info man!
