My new toy, GPR steering damper.

Finally got my new stabilizer after weeks of ordering issues. It is a very nice unit and was easy to install. Just thought I'd share incase you were in the market for one.

I have one too, only thing I don't like is that my lowering strap passes right under those set-screw things. If I tighten on the screws, I won't be able to loosen or tighten my strap, so I haven't been tightening those screws. Anyone know a solution to this issue?

Should help prevent wobble in the steering. I get it more often then I would like wen coming off a wheely or going over bumps fast like through an intersection. I have my suspension set tight since the bike is lowered. The front is also lighter since the back is so low. Added safety, thats all.

My strap runs over the lower triple clamp and around the neck and back down the other side. I have pics, I'll look for them.

Up the back side, over the top and around the front of the neck of the bike (around the front of the sterring tops) then back down the back of the other side.. I leave my strp on all the time. I also have it connected to the brake calipers not the radial mount brackets. This way the strap is tucked in tight and out of the wind. I did this the same way on my last bike as well. Great for the street.

My strap is over the lower clamp too.

That damper looks great, really High-Tech but can I ask, was there ever an issue with stability on the 14? I have dropped the clamps on my bike down the fork legs by an inch so I can strap it lower and retain some suspension movement. Even with this steeper angle it's totally stable.

BobC, I personally have had MANY issue with stability. Normally people buy a stabilizer to prevent high speed wobble and tank slappers. I haven't had any issues like that. My issues usually invole humps in the road, or bumps when hualing ass around turns on the highway. I have also had a few wobbles coming off a wheely at around 70mph. There is no question, the bike can use one. (all bikes can use one for that matter)

14black, No drilling involved. Very nice installation.

nookie, I hear ya brother. Hard to justify the prices of these things. I got mine for $350 OTD (cost is $330 I believe)
Try and justify this one...

I have the GPR and routed the strap as shown;

No problems so far, but will be keeping an eye on the trap to make sure it doesn't start to split. I don't really reef down the strap that much, just snug so the front end doesn't come up.

I saw Tony's GPR damper last night. It is awesome! Some other local ZX14 owners saw it and and told me they are purchasing them too.
