Ever have one of them days ???
I went to the track tonight to test a 40 shot with a new map. First run i spun all the way down the track ... Next run a dropped the tire PSI to 12 psi and it hooked !!!! ...I could not keep the front end on the ground... Third run it hooked and i kept the front end down but hard a crappy 60 time because i left soft... That last run i finished off the N02 bottle .... So i went back to motor runs....I was riding so bad i got slower with each run....I have been 5.60 flat on the motor but tonight i could only run a 5.70 on a 40 shot.....GRRRRRRRRR... I was not the only one having problems ...Steddyteddy as well as Jessejames82 had problems getting down the track...One of our Gixxer buddies had it the worst ...On his last pass of the night he kicked the rods out of his Gixxer, oiled down the track and almost wrecked ...He held on and didn't go down ...The motor had a BIG hole in the cases and the bike was covered in oil.....Damn lucky guy ... Well there is always next week ..  That's why they call it drag racing because sometimes it's just a DRAG ...Smokin..

i know exactly what your talking about Smokin.
Some buddies and I drove to Louisville, KY this past Sunday for a race.
They gave us one time run which was lousy. I was 2 tenths off my regular numbers.
I figure no problem I'll run two classes use one as another time run to get dialed in and even buy back if necessary. Every I pass I made the entire day except for the last one was horrible. I spun twice, airshifter failed once, stood the bike up on another pass, and despite advancing some rounds I never got dialed in. It appeared to others that I was sandbagging all day because I had to make my dial in slower to compensate for mistakes and mishaps. I ended up foot shift, getting off the gas and still broke out big 6.32 et @ 93.86mph on a 6.48 dial.
BTW my buddies 06 gixxer 1k also went sour after some rounds. His bike slowed down drastically 4th round and in the 5th upon decel and pulling off track he starting hearing that hammer like sound. He believes it to be a rod is wanting to come on out of there.
Despite all that we had fun, made it back safely.
Going back to the track tomorrow night to get dialed in for points race on Sat.

I think I'm having "one of those days"....help, I've fallen and I can't get up;
Was pulling the bike back towards my trailer. I was in the rocks and pushing/pulling the bike towards the sidewalk. I went one way, the bike went the other.
What's another $800 anyways?? I'm so phucking pissed at myself I can't see straight right now.
Bike is at the stealers. Minor cosmetic damage. Need complete upper fairing, right side fairing, brake lever, windshield, and mirror.

You have no idea how heavy that summbitch was. I had to call the shop and have them send a guy over to help because Ms. Iflyems is about a buck 10 soaking wet and couldn't help with lifting it.
Sad thing also was it was my last ride in Calif. as I'm moving again, and was just going to put her in the trailer. Now the POS is sitting at the squealer waiting on parts to be fixed. Hopefully it will be fixed in two weeks, which is when I'm moving.

OMG... that's painful to see. Sorry man, I know that hurts. I launched one right off the trailer a million years ago (long stupid story) and I still feel it. I was just lucky I didn't break my hand when I walked in the house and put it through the wall.... I've grown up "some" since then. You handled it well. Still hurts...

yikes! long time ago dropped the 80 cbx in a mcdonalds parking lot. i had just put a bunch of chrome on the motor right before bikeweek and had to replace one side. once that weight gets to a certain angle it is all over.
