Gearbox Sprocket

Guys,

anybody had trouble trying to break the gearbox sprocket nut loose?? I had a heck of a time - 350lbft air would not budge it. Finally took to guys that prepare my race bike - took them 30 mins also!!! I tried using a deep 27mm socket with no luck, the larger inner portion seems to accpet a 35mm but it also needs to be a deep type socket - any ideas where to get one??

Cheers.

S.

Mine was really tough too. Last week I changed back to a 17 from 18 and it took a while with an airgun to shift it.

I was told that it should be refitted with Molyslip grease and torqued to 90ftlbs. Maybe if it's fitted dry it will be hard to undo again.

Mine came off easy with air. Don't forget about the locking tab.

Mine was a bitch to put it nicely, I've changed sprockets on 3 Busa's my ZX10 and a couple other bikes and this was by far the worst to get off.
