Speed O Healin'
I have used the search feature and looked up the various posts on Speedohealers and I got a lot of great info, but most of the posts discussed using the Speedohealer if you are changing your gearing. I simply plan to get a Smeg and PCIII but have no intention on changing the gearing. Do you guys still think I should get a Speedohealer and what would the benefits be? Thanks in advance!

Fix the speedo and you slow the odometer. Also, cases the gear indicator to read improperly.

the only down side I have found is that the gear in dicator will go to 6th but then indicates 5th?? It has something to do with the voltage signal??

Only if you're running very low gearing...like I am...stock gears shouldn't be a problem.

Okay, so ya think I should still get it even if I do not change my gearing? The Brock's Smeg package comes with a Speedo with the exhaust and the PCIII and I thought I would just get that if you guys think it would be helpful.

The device is nice so you can have an accurate speedometer... as for travelling amongst the Highway Patrol. It is also nice if you should decide to change gearing at some later point and again, want an accurate speedometer. Lastly it is one of the devices used to fool the electronics to go pass the restrictor above 186 mph or thereabout.
If you have access to a GPS, calibrate your most important speeds, ie. 25, 55, 65, 70 and mark them on your plastic speedometer overlay with a different permanent color dot representing a different speed. This saves you money and doesn't affect your power if the above three factors are not important to you.

Thanks flyboy, I think I may just do that instead of the Speedo... I am putting enough stuff on this bike as is for right now. I won't have any room to sit.

Ninja,
I just got the same setup from Brocks. Easy to install and like flyboy said it is best to have a GPS to calibrate. I ran mine at 100mph there was a 6 mph difference did the calculation on the speedohealer web site and I was done. Took it out on another test drive and my speedo was right on with the GPS at different speeds.

Save your $ and leave it alone..............it is giving you a "safety margin" from speeding b/c you will be going slower than indicated at all times.......while clocking accurate mileage.

Oh. Okay, well, since I am just now getting out from under the oppressive thumb of past speeding tickets then perhaps I should just skip this then. Does anyone know on average how much digression the stock speedometer has? I know I read it somewhere already but I am tired of the search feature.
