Took the two 14's to the dragstrip
Went out to the 1/4 mile today with my friend Jack. He has a black 06 and I have a red one. We were in Steele Alabama on a Test & Tune Sunday. You pay $10 dollars to get in and run for free from 1PM till dark. Jack went with the Muzzy Sidewinder and I have the Brocks Smeg. both bikes have Roaring Toys Ext. on them, mine at 63" Jacks at 65". Here is our best 1/4 mile runs. Jacks has a Dry NOS kit mine does not. he is 180 lbs. and I am 220 lbs.
Jack went a 8.78 @ 157mph on spray. Mine went a 9.42 @ 146mph. We were the only two 14's that were at the track. I think we are going to try and go to Huntsville Dragway this Friday night.

We need a patch/sticker/something to recognize this acomplishment. For me, getting into the 8's was easy, I cheated with a turbo. But to get any "street legal" bike into the 8's is quite an acomplishment.

I think I got some pic's. I know I took one of the 8 sec time slip and I need to read how to post them on here. As far as the turbo goes well we got that too. 00 Busa with a MC-Express kit with upgrades 67"WB. Went 5.38 in the 1/8th 8.30's in the 1/4 mile. This is an intercooled kit on 13 pounds of boost. But hey that's a Busa and who doesn't have a Turbo one of them. They are a dime a dozen. I still love the 14. It is a great bike I should have my Dry kit installed and ready for my 8 sec. run. On Jack's 8.78 pass the bike would not shift into 6th gear. and he was on the rev limiter on that pass. I even had my best 60ft. with a 1.41.

Oh yea, got a great deal on a 00 Turbo busa. Blue/silver, Trac arm, RC wheels, All the bells and whistles. $12000. 315 RWHP at 11 pounds of boost pump gas. I like the 14 and it is now my favorite bike to ride.

We have been hearing there is a lot of Motorcycles up there on Friday nights.
Bama Dragway is open 7 pm to 2 am on Saturday nights and there is always a bunch of motorcycles running. It's right outside of Birmingham.
I am vetoed for Friday this week. Have to work Friday night.

You know your killing me. I would love to add that busa to my stable. I love the color. I used to have an 06 in blue but sold it for the 14. It would be cool to have two turbo's and race them both, but sadly I have to rebuild the motor in my 14 first.

Yeah i have raced at Steele in my car but not on my bike, I would love to come down sometime, but maybe i will catch you at huntsville!

Please do come down. 14's are always outnumbered by the Suzuki's. However I have seen a trend towards more 1000's running than Busa's. Some ZX10's but mostly GSXR 1000's.
