Looks real nice mang. How well does the bike stop with the one front disc off? Would that be good nuff for street use?
BTW, what size is that rear Shinko?

It stops pretty good, not too much difference than with 2 rotors. I'm sure that the pads will wear a little quicker though.
I wouldn't recommend for the street, but I've seen it plenty before.
That's a 190-50 Shinko U-soft. I've run 180's on my ZX-14 prior, but decided to try out the 190 this time. Don't see much difference though other than the look of a fatter tire on back.

That looks like no problem raceway...am I close??
Been there twice. First time it rained when I got within 3miles of the track. Second time was good, but my airshifter wouldn't work. Then a car spun and put itself into the wall. Radiator fluid and oil everywhere, so went home early. Very nice track though.

Pat, is that an after market front rotor?...What pads do you have on it?
Rear sprocket came with the rim?...What gearing are you running?

Stock rotor, stock pads, and yes the rear sprocket comes with the wheels, its an AFAM sprocket and is the only one that will fit these wheels.
16-43 gearing.

With the all the excitement of finally getting them installed, I forgot to weigh the suckers.
I know the front is substantially lighter, and the back is lighter than stock, but I don't by how much.
I've read somewhere that the front was 9 lbs., but don't quote me on that.
You will have to contact Chip Hunter for pricing, as I am not at liberty to say what they cost. I think they are a great deal though compared to other wheels.
These are the Type C's (5 spoke), and the Type R's (10 spoke) are 10% lighter than the Type C's, but I preferred the 5 spoke look better.

Did I understand above that the bike stops almost as good with one front rotor as it does two? Or is it because on the drag strip it doesn't much matter?
I brake my 14 so hard before turns I preload the fronts with the backs, and I can't imagine being down a rotor is why I'm asking. If it brakes about the same there's some weight to be lost.

Yes it stops pretty good on the drag strip with both front and rear brakes applied simultaneously. I would not recommend it for the street at all. Most of the tracks I go to have 1/2 mile of shutdown area to come to a stop, whereas on the street, if a car pulls out on you, you will need to stop ASAP or be able to slow enough to swerve.
In my opinion, keep both rotors on the street.
