check me out
Went back out to the track in Lagrange today. I must say all in all it was a great day. My first pass was a 7.59, which was ok for me in my head because its just my second time at the track with that man beast. My second pass was a 7.36 with a .7908 reaction. My third was "what i thought was the ride of my life" with a 7.21, .7400 reaction, at 107mph. Then i slowed a little with a 7.37, .8259 ( a lot off the line ). Thats when all hell broke loose just for the hell of it i ran a ? I dont know what it was all i know is it was a suzuki with all the bells and whistles it a track only bike it beat the hell out of me but i ran a 6.93, .7469 reaction, at 103mph. Next just because I raced a built out the ass busa. He also beat the hell out of me but i ran a 6.98, .6380 reaction, at 107.65mph. Then come my next run i go down by myself. Ok here we go i'm ready i'm gonna post my best time of the night right here hell i already ran a6 something. Thats what i said to myself. The lights went down and i was out with a .6319 reaction time i redlined (trying to hard) and suffered at the 330 but i still pulled a 7.08 at 106mph. Then after that i ran a 7.3 by myself again. I guess its true what they say "your only good as what you come up against." After i ran the 7.3 i said to myself, i said self we are starting to slow down time to pack it in. Just the simple fact i broke into the 6's (high 6's) hell was good enough for me tonight. I just had to share my story with you guys and gals. thanks for reading.

Nice work .... Don't worry about your reaction time , worry about your 60 foot time ...Reaction time will not change your ET but the 60 foot will.....Smokin..

Thanks Smokin, my best 60 was a 1.81 which i ran a 6.93. What would you say should be a good 60 time. not so much should be, but could be on stock setup. Every thing is stock except for i got it lowered, no strap. Thanks.

Good would be 1.60s Great would be 1.50s ...But 1.60s will get you low to mid 9s in the 1/4 mile ...For every tenth you knock off the 60 foot you will gain 2 tenths off your ET ....Smokin....

Thanks again. Now i have something extra to shoot for. By the way i know you might know by the numbers, but just in case anyone dont i'm running the 8th. I was reading over and noticed i never stated that. Will keep you posted. Oh before i leave, about how much does it cost to run down a 1/4 mile track . I know you have to have full leathers but what else if anything.

Well most tracks want full leathers if you run speeds and times of 6.99 or under in the 1/8 mile and 9.99 or 120 MPH in the 1/4 mile .... You can get leather pants for 100.00 bucks or so .... Some tracks don't care what you wear ... But i would rather be safe and wear some leathers ....If you race an event at NHRA or AHRA you will have to have them ......Smokin...
