Dayum i'm happy today

Went for a ride today with some road racing( track junkies) buddies today.
Got into a heated spirited ride with a 1098 S ( not the cheap 1098) and a 06 gixxer 1k on a twisty road...
Well i've been wrong on the zx14 handling.
Its just as good as the 2 bikes above... cause nobody left nobody and nobody could pass nobody ( without getting real stupid)...

On a side note... Brake pads are toast, rear tire is bald, and all 3 bikes got a new makeovers from flying rocks...

BUT days like today PRICELESS

Last I checked the "cheap 1098" as you refer to it cost a whole lot more than my ZX14?

I wish I had more people to ride with. Most of the time I do solo rides. It's fun, but it gets boring sometimes. I'm jealous

Yeah but it don't come with Ohlins and a Carbon Fiber fender like the 1098S does...

Cool....

I know the feeling having dusted a very nice Agusta riden by a guy that told me he went to the track 3 or 4 times per month - probably wished he had not said it now :-) On the streets where the roads seem to be the limit more than the bike we have a much better chance to hang w/ them all......

+1

The streets are the great equalizer, rider skill being equal the 14 seems to be on par with the 1K's and 600s. Track is a different story. I think a track preped 14 with a considerable amount of weight saving mods might do well but won't make good enough times to be worth the effort. The bike's designed for transwarp flight, not high-speed manuvers.

Man that is the best news I have heard today. I know I have showed plenty of gixxers and hondas up in the corners with my lowered and stretched 14. Can't do it anymore though. I put the sidewinder on it!

One day he bashes it , the next you love it....
Must be back............. on the prozac!
Glad your enjoying the 14 for a change.

Many times I thought about selling mine for a G1K, but I know that for the roads around here, I 'm better off with the 14.
I've been down that road before, buying and selling then regretting....
Its been bullet proof too, never an issue except for the initial crate damage.
I'm as loyal to her as she has been to me. I think I'll keep this one for a while.
It'll likely be a long time love affair!
