I drag race only, and do not run an air filter. But I cannot say how much difference it makes since I had the filter out from the very first day at the track.

Bike has been 8.69 @ 154 with 145lb rider. Not sure what it would do if i put the stock air filter back in or even a BMC for that matter??

Bike also went 8.86 with me on it weighing 205 unsuited.

Xtro, bottom line is you will make more hp and run faster at the track with the filter removed. I've ran both ways and my mph will pick up 1.5 to 2 mph in the 1/4 with filter removed.

Yep it will go faster with it out ... I made 3 runs with it in and 3 with it out same night >> 1/8 mile track.>> 5.70s in 5.60s out ..... For me it's worth close to a 10th of a second in the 1/8 mile ...I have not done the same test in the 1/4 mile ...Smokin...

no question out gets better times .. we can't run street like that .. so .. is it worth over $100 USD for something we likely don't notice on the street ? cause it's free to remove it for the track ..

so for you guys not using one on the track .. do you worry about dust ?

I would suggest if you live in dry areas, you may want to thing about you some sort of filter.

Down here in Louisiana, its always wet from rain, so we don't get much dusty conditions, just a lot of mosquitoes.
