installing exhaust without pcIII ?

I got my Muzzy ehaust but my PC is on b/o. My question is, can I install my exhaust (I'll leave the flies in for now)& run my bike without my PC? Do I risk of running too lean or rich & damage something?

thanks
Stephane

if it is full system, yes there is always a chance but i had 02 zx12 with full muzzy with no p/c and put 8000 miles on it, nothing ever broke. i guess you never know.

I wouldn't, but that's just my $.02. Should've bought the PCIII somewhere else. Until then just wait since you didn't.

IMO you will be fine running the exhaust untill your pc comes in, you just won't get all the hp that's there to be had.

Go ahead and run it... Can't wait huh?

It will be a little lean, and power will be much better with Pc installed.

I put on quite a few miles with a full exhaust prior to the PC-III.

I got my exhaust March 06 - Got the bike in April 06 - got the PC-III in June 06.
It ran fine, but quite an improvment once the PC-III was installed.

I had the TiForce system on my bike running with a zero map for a couple of weeks prior to mapping on the dyno. It was MUCH better after mapping and I don't think any harm was done to the engine.

Running mine with Tsukigi full system for 5-6 months now,
still runs rich on the top end even @ the TxMile 180mph, way fat!

Now don't go pulling the flies like this though.

The main reaon I haven't installed the Pc is fuel mileage,
I go riding with all my of 14 freinds, and use a gallon less gas every pitstop.
I like to ride alot, and can't see needing the extra power, they don't get away from me at all.

Alright 1Bad does alittle, but no one else!
He just pushes harder than I am willing to on the street.
