Speed O Healer
I installed a Speed O Healer on my bike and have a problem I haven't heard of yet. When I have the program in the electronic box and am in either 3rd or 4th gear and hold the rpm to about 2500 to 3500, the bike misses, jerks and stutters pretty much. Doesn't do it in any other gears.
Has any one had any problems like this?

No ....... did you unplug the speedo healer and see if the problem stops.
Its hard to understand why, one has nothing to do with the other.

There shouldn't be any connection between instaling a speedo healer and engine problems - the two have nothing to do with eachother. Did you make any other modifications at the same time?

I've got a PC111 and air shifter is all. They've been on for a good while. I don't see any connection either and neither does the manufacturer.
If I reset the program or remove the cable, the trouble goes away. I've asked both the Mfg. and Schnitz if they will send me a new unit to see if it does the same, maybe one of them will, as I like the correction to the mph done by the unit. I can put up with the gear selector problem but can't tolerate the missing, tho, as it happens to be at about 30-35 mph where a lot of city driving is done.
Thanks for responding. I guess I've just got a unique problem.

Reset which program or remove what cable? If you have a PC and the trouble goes away when you remove it, then the problem is the PC, not the speedo healer.

Push the reset button on the SH and the program goes away and there is nothing sent from it to the ecu or anything, the way I understand it. The cable I was talking about is the SH system cable that goes between the male and female ends of the speed sensor. Either of these changes effectively removes the SH at which time the bike runs perfect.
I only mentioned the PC due to your post, so as to show no recent work had been done and no exotic electronics had been added.

Just want to let all know, the Speed O Healer people are sending me a new electronic unit so I can install it to put the problem in the bike or the SH.
I like that kind of customer service.

Apparantly no one else is having problems with the Speed O Healer. If I get the new one for a test and it doesn't correct the missing problem, I'm going to have to look harder at something on the bike.

Actually it's not. If your yellow box is set correctly it just moves the restriction along with the registered speed on the speedometer. However, you can set the yellow box negative to read low, and thereby move the limiter up enough to not be a factor.

I got the new SH from the factory and installed it. The problem was the same. I took it to my friend, RichCraft, who has a 14 equipped exactly as mine. He installed it on his bike and had no problems. He mentioned my problem felt more like the fuel was being cut off at irregular intervals instead of missing. I agree.
I disconnected my air shifter electronics and no help. I took the bike home, took all the plastic off the left side, and removed the PC3, and the problem went away ( I don't want to hear it, zerMATT). Hooked the PC3 back up and removed the SH-problem gone. I rerouted both cables, and the problem is lessened, but still there.
Odd thing is, it only happenes in 3rd or 4th gear.

Possibly a bad map or maybe a PC ground problem?

The map is a Brocks map for the Smeg. I moved the ground to make sure it was good, even put foil around the connectors to try to prevent radiation interference.
