I actually think I'm going to give the throttleboss a go for no other reason other than its made specifically to fit this.
The grips are supa-fat, I always ride with race gloves on and felt that the stock grip diameter w/ gloves on were perhaps more ideal if you are using your bike for "the seriously aggresive stuff.
Like I said before, I have my repli-racer that I use to put the knee down, it's not what I got this bike for. I had to adjust the levers to bring them in closer to the grips just so that I could still comfortably reach/hover my fingers over them while riding. The diameter of the grips dictates this.
They are very comfortable, it was a brisk night tonight and I took my first ride out with these grips and the PA roads are notoriously potholed, cracked, gravel strewn and full-o-tarsnakes, also I'm still in the break-in process (only 270 miles on the bike) so I will admit to not pushing anything that would have me feel what the controls are at any notable limits.
If you are using your bike for the 7/10ths and are more about comfort and a little dressing up then the Kuryakyn's look and feel great, If you are racing, planning to push things at 10/10ths and wear good proper armored pricey racing gloves like myself, I suspect a more conventional grip will be best.
If you are looking for distance comfort, something friendly for distance riding (wide diameter somewhat relaxes the hand) and a bit of a look that really sets off the bike, these seem great and they really are quite easy to install.
