Area P Exhaust Install

I installed my 18" stainless, 2" core Area-P's this weekend. Install was easy overall, just took a little while to get the pipes lined up exactly the same on both sides of the bike.

Very happy with the sound. I was not able to get out for a ride, but just firing the bike up in the garage, they sound really good. Louder than stock for sure, but no where approaching 'stupid loud'! Nice throaty sound...........my ZX can talk now after spending it's first year as a mute!

I plugged the air injection port and also checked the tightness of the clamps on the throttle bodies. I checked my throttle body clamps as Brock posted a while back as he indicated some of the popping people have complained about can be from air sneaking in from loose throttle body clamps. A few of mine were loose. I snugged them up a bit, but you have to be careful not to over tighten the cheap clamps that Kawasaki uses, can make worse if you crank them down too much,

As others have mentioned, I can't believe how heavy the stock pipes are. You could hook the 2 pipes together and use them on your bench press!

I really like the look of these pipes on the '14. Just a nice basic oval pipe. Look almost stock......exactly what I was looking for.

Flys and PC-3 are next on the agenda.............

Beautiful. They have such clean lines. And I agree they could pass for stock. My favorite shot is from the rear. They tuck in so nicely they look as if they belonged there.

+1 on the factory exhaust being heavy. I can't quite grasp the reason for dual slip-ons yet though but I'm open-minded to them
