I put it like this, I'm pretty sure none of you have seen him ride so how in the hell do you know what he can do! Hell if he can't handle it and you think you can beat him, put your money where your mouth is and let the rest speak for itself. He also has enough money to pay a rider to bust that ass like me .

What's the big thing about the bling thing. Hell we get hell for riding crotch rockets by people that do not know us and we get pissed off but now look at us as riders guilty of the same crime. Some of you are just upset cause you can't afford the bling thing.

obviously I dont know anyone here personally but the way some are posting is so out of balance to what Ludacris does or says on these short clips it's....I dont even know what to call it.

Again, I dont know anyone here personally so it's just improper and unwise for me to make assumptions on my part so I wont.

Y'all obviously have the universal right to feel and say whatcha' want and no doubt do but some of this raw derision that near reads like contempt or hatred I simply dont understand, but again, you have the right.

What in the world did he say or do in those clips that warrant the harsher remarks some have made here? Is this the first RoaringToys template bike you've seen (thats rhetorical, cos I know it isnt). Why in the world presume he cant ride rather than "the fact" that he can and does ride?

Some folk strike me as the kind that will react negatively toward someone just because he happens to be *fill in the blank*, not because he's actually done anything to you or yours..it's a damn shame..

This class of sportbike when customized for the most part get customized in this fashion: custom paint/art scheme, chrome *sumthin' or another*, extended swingarms, fat wheel/tire kits, etc...it certainly didnt start with him.

I live in the NorthEast so outside of NYC and Connecticut I dont see too much tricked out stuff (I know they are everywhere, I just dont see it up here) but the moment I cross the mason-dixon line "BAM" there they are. That's near all I see in Florida, obviously mostly 'busa's. I personally dont see the wisdom of putting $20k-$30k of extra eyecandy into a $11k bike but I damnwell know for sure that the full rainbow of males down south are doing it and shit, I give them a thumbs up, They enjoy doing it and they ride so to me it's all good.

There is no prerequisite that you be a high browed racer to justify owning and riding this bike. What trial or initiation does one need pass not to be derided by you hateful types?

Hell just support you fellow bikers.....or not it's your choice but leave your contempt and judgemental tendancies back at the swamp...c'mon

Thank you Rudebwoy, I've been biting my tongue on this one. It's not what Ludacris says to many here, it's how he looks. If it was a good ol' boy (insert male country singer of choice) then the nay sayers would only comment on the bike and not the person standing beside it. Like Rudebwoy says, I don't know anyone here either and don't want to make general assumptions about anyone here, but it's very disappointing to read some of the comments posted here. Idefinitely respect everyones right to post their feelings on any subject so post away.

Thank you Rudebwoy, I've been biting my tongue on this one. It's not what Ludacris says, it's how he looks. If it where a good ol' boy (insert male country artist of choice) I believe the comments would have been directed at the bike only, good or bad, but because he's a brother who raps (and that carries a bad stigma) some of the posters have let their feelings be known. It is everyones right to say and post exactly how they feel and I respect that, so post away. I want to hear some harsh criticism or Roaring Toyz and the bling work they do.

Hell just support you fellow bikers...

thats the best of all time... just cause somebody owns a bike ... don't makes them a biker

to me a biker is.. someone who likes to enjoy the freedom of the open road... who rides if it 40 degree's outside or raining outside or on a perfect day.... that can fix their bike on the side of the road cause out in nowhere that most likely the only way you getting home...someone who thinks about improving his bike for open road riding... someone who's bike is flat worn out after 5 years or 100.000 k miles give or take.....

just because you own a jet don't makes you a pilot... same with bikes

Concerning the actual 14 shown. Has anyone here actually ridden one of these Roaring Toyz type bikes before? I have plenty of miles on one; and it's a really a cool ride. I am a motorcyclist through and through. It's my life. Love it all. Doesn't matter what it is. If it's two wheels and a motor, I'm in and it's all good. I enjoy hanging out and talking to Eric & Ben Bostrom, as much as talking to "Biggee" from the Rough Riders. I know many people involved in this aspect of the sport. They are extremely passionate about their rides. Just like the roadrace/sportbike guy is about his, or the dirt bike/quad guy is about his. I enjoy hanging out with all of them.

You just have to keep in perspective what this particular modded version of a 14 is or isn't mean't for. For me, it's like cruising around on a H-D to a local hangout, down to the beach, etc. This bike is cool and fun to ride. Guys it's just a different twist. No different than a stunter taking a "Sportbike" and modding it for stunting. A canyon carving type rider will look at that "stunter" type bike and perhaps say what a conehead.... You can use that logic/opinion on any number of other scernios. A guy takes one an slams it and turns it into a drag bike. The roadrace type guy goes "what a waste", etc.. Anyway, it goes on and on...

Having companies like Roaring Toyz starting another chapter of customs is a great thing for our industry. It will spawn growth. In Florida and many other areas, "twisties" are limited or non existent. Fully customized Harleys are the rage down there and demand a huge price tag. Roaring Toyz created something for the Sportbike crowd that "competes" with the H-D custom crowd. They cost less, perform much better, are far more reliable and most importantly to the guy who would buy one, they look cool. It gets more people involved in motorcycling and that's a great thing. Having celebrities involved (on a whole), is a good thing for motorcyclist. Of course there are the negative sides. But that goes with anything. So what if Ludacris only cruises it. So what if he never even rides it. Having him involved is no different than Shaq, Kevin Costner, Arnold, Cher, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Michael Jordon, etc, etc, being involved. IMHO. It's all good.

Everyone does and should have their opinion as to what a "real biker" is. And at the end of the day, I'm just offering you one more opinion to consider. a But that's all it is -an opinion. And for the most part, that may not matter one little bit to the person you are presenting that opinion about. If I take someone out to track day and spank them, does that make one of "us" less of a motorcyclist? Use any scenerio you want as an example; it just doesn't matter. More people getting involved in all aspects of motorcycling is good for our industry. Peace.

Everyone does and should have their opinion as to what a "real biker" is

1 he's called a stunter
2 he's called a dragracer
3 he's called a poser
4 thats a statist symbol ( for the celeb and camera to stay in the lime light)

and 5 and least a biker is someone that rides day in and day out for years and years to come...

great write up thou k bryan... i'm not saying not to get along and be friends...i'm just saying they haven't earned the right to be called a biker.....i didn't see them on their bikes in the cold and rain riding to work to make a living ..... having scars from years of riding ect...ect...ect.......i see them only as its the cool thing to do NOW so i'm a biker...

i guess we need to find a name for them
