Any news on aftermarket air filters?

Is anyone making an aftermarket air filter yet for the 14? It's been a while since I researched this and I was wondering if someone had news regarding this. I've done the screen mod but I would prefer a BMC race.

I think Dynojet has one listed, but no one has it in stock.
Some people are cutting the stock filter element out an
glueing k&n foam in its place.

Personally, I just pulled the metal screen off the stock filter.

What do you think the reason is for this? I don't understand why it's taking so long? I would imaine they would sell good especially now after the long wait. BMC couldn't make enough to supply the demand at ths point. Confusing.

Just figured I'd jump on the bandwagon. You don't have to make me one.

If I had the time, I would be happy to. I am so freakin busy these days I can barely get to the track. Smokin can attest to that.

Can I have a black 07 - remus pipe - remove the rear fender and front reflector - silver wheels - make front discs have the "petal" shape?

Just joshing - fantastic toon

Am definately after an air filter though.
K&N because I don't know any different (have had them on my last 4 bikes) - they still good or should I look elsewhere?
(am in Oz so will probably have a further delay to you guys)

Does removing the metal screen make much improvement?

LOL.
Yes the screen is very restrictive. Easy mod to do as well.
I am after a BMC race filter myself.

I'm gonna stick with my factory one with the screen removed until I hear some good feedback on an aftermarket one.

I have heard good feedback on removing your air filter at the drag strip so naturally I would think a race filter would help too just not quite as much.

I just ordered a race version of the Pipercross filter. I'll let you know how well it works over the modded stock filter that I have already.

All I've ever run in my bikes is race filters but I will say I live in the city and the streets are pretty clean.

You got a part number for that zx14 filter? Their web site doesn't list a zx14 filter...Smokin...

I met a guy on a ZX14 who got a high flow air filter from Europe back in December. His wife bought it for him for christmas. I had no idea one was even available then. Not sure of a brand? Is this one shown in the pic from Europe?
