200.625 mph

Just did the run now. GPS 200.625 with a light head wind. Only mods is Brock's street/meg / race map and no flies but it is flying without the flies. Not lowered, and mirrors still in place nothing else been done. This 14 is not special it's just a zx 14, that's all. I did it in about a 2.5 mile open road.

I was under the impression that Kawi had a 186 mph limiter on the 14

Sorry I forgot to mention I also installed a derestricter, locally developed.

Not bad! get video if you can.

Not saying we don't believe ya. From the uk to usa people have been tagging 195+ and 200 without going nuts in mods. Can't wait to see what happens when some good headwork and cams come into play. :-)

Deresricter? How can I get one. I like seeing what gear I'm in. Does this always indicate 5th? It's hard for me to use my finger to count with while riding! I'm wanting to hit the 200 mark this year.

How far had you gone when you hit max speed? Not sure +- 2 miles.
The derestricter I got from my local dealer. Gear indicater still works with this derestricter. what gearing were you running? Standard gearing. The new tire does give me a higher speed.

Previous run was with a worn tyre. I replaced the tire last week. Look I'm a no bullshit guy.
The GPS indicated 321 km/h. Can the GPS {garmin-etrex} be faulty, it seemed fine to me. Anyone can get this speed if you ask me, or get close to it. I think Brock's products is the answer. This speed was achieved with a head wind, not strong but it was there. If you guys realy don't believe me I will post the picture a.s.a.p. My bike is not special.

I did send the pm. The derestricter was fitted by my dealer so I only saw it for 10 seconds. I payed 950 ZAR Rand for it, so +- 130 us dollars I think. Please guys, I did not post this as to lay claim to a record, I thought I would just share the moment. If the GPS is out, I'm sorry!!

breaking the 200mph barrier is a HUGE accomplishment on any bike. Therefore, when you bust out on several internet sites saying that you broke that barrier by .625 seconds, folks expect to see some type of proof, or they will call you out. Video, timeslips, GPS, a picture of this derestrictor, etc. Your information just doesn't jive---derestrictor?, headwind, mirrors on, not lowered, .625 seconds...etc...etc.

Me, I've got no reason to call you a liar because I really don't give a damn. Do I believe you? Nope, I think you are full of crap....then again, I'm some unknown from the internet.

What type of gps are you using?
stock gearing.
mirrors.
stock ride height.
how much do you weigh?

BTW, its not about records, its about the truth.

Regrettably I have to answer you again. My wifes computer crashed......so sorry. Can't open photobucket now, I'm waiting for the login details and password. Let me e-mail the photo to someone so we can get it over with.

are we being baited to purchase the de-restrictor? If so, do you have time slip or any proof of speed other than "GPS said so"????

No why? You got the speedohealer. I could not purchase it here in SA, so my dealer got me a different one. It was much easier that way. Give me an e-mail address so I can mail the photo. As i said, I'm waiting for a reply from photobucket on my password!

321 KPH is equal to 199.46 MPH by my calculations. But his numbers do in fact add up to terminal velocity of stock gearing with a new tire...... he should have been near or on the rev limiter - assuming a 184/186 limiter by pass. Terminal velocity should be in the 1.7 to 2 mile range- Brock set-up has the power to get it there. Riaansh did you catch the rev limiter on the run.... and why did you say 200.625 with a 321kph run on the GPS? And my advice as always - if you want to run at speed - do it at the track - otherwise it is unlawful, ill advised, wreckless and dangerous.....

Yes. I only used 1.6 and not 1.609. Sorry. It was very close to 11500 revs. No cars on the road, and I know I must be careful. We have a top end run occasionaly but the road is bumpy, otherwise no luck for something like this.
