Texas Mile: any other 14's coming?? The bikeland crew has seven or eight 12's, one 14(lietome), and one turbo Busa running the Texas Mile on Mar 24-25.
Any more of you 14 folk heading down??

I'm planning on it, just hope the weather is going to hold out for us!
I was a spectator last Oct. time to try my hand at it,
I'm just really hoping to top 190, basically stk. just a pipe no PC3.
However I did bet 1BadZX12R dinner I could do 200, just for giiggles.

Do I know you from the TXSO???, I only did one race in 2006, but 01-05 did plenty.
Can I add you to the list of bikelanders (on the Dragracing section) who are coming to the Mile??
Where are you staying Goliad or Beeville?? We got a buncha fols staying at the Antlers in Goliad.

I'm sure we have run against each other at least once or twice if you have run S/ET that many years, been running since "01 as well.
Can I add you to the list of bikelanders (on the Dragracing section) who are coming to the Mile??
Sure as long as the weather is good I'll be there, would like to meet all the "Bikelanders"
Where are you staying Goliad or Beeville?? We got a buncha fols staying at the Antlers in Goliad.
I live in San Antonio, so I'll be heading home each night, make changes for Sun.

great!
the Mile is much more "fun" than the TXSO in one sense, because you run when you feel like it; VERY relaxed.
I do plan to put my raggedy 12 back to quarter mil set up after the mile, do some shootouts.
What did you run at the shootout?? care to post a pic or 2??

Someone told me a steering dampner is required on high mph bikes. Is there any truth to this? I don't think a 14 needs one. They are ROCK STEADY! If it is required, I won't be able to make it.

Anything over 140mph, steering damper required.
If you are handy, you can build one in a night for about $50
This is a used unit off a Busa, Ebay $25.
