Hey smokin i dont like you comment

Anything in the 1.60 60 foot will get you deep into the nines ( unless you weigh 250+ pounds)..... 1.7s and 1.8s will be 10s.....I have gone 1.50 60 times at stock wheel base but with a lot of work to get there

Some of us just cant pass a mcdonalds on the way to track without stopping and getting a double cheeseburger.lol

that one was for the riders 250+ LOL

My 2 cents. I have a 2000 zx12, lowered 2" in the rear. Unfortunately I can only lower the front 1", any more and it bites on the taper and the forks eventually slide thru the triple!

I have to yank the front drag strap to level the bike so it doesn't weave and wander around 180. A 120/60 tire helped even up the ride height. Twisties now are a joke. I spend so much time trying to ride the typical out in out lines and can't go deep or brake as late anymore....high speed sweepers now have the bike doing the old washing machine weavy/wandery stuff. I'm used to it, and as long as my buddies on normal ride height bikes don't go berzerk on all the corners I can keep them in sight and reel them back in in the straights....point being it certainly isn't confidence inspiring....rolling off the throttle in the corner makes it WORST at higher speeds....so I really have to watch my speeds because on the street you never know whats around the corner....

Since I have done track days and weigh 120ish lbs even if others are not on lowered bikes I can usually do ok w/the odd ride height of the 12 as it sits now....but rest assured, it ain't no gixxer.

As far as the strip goes, there is a compromise....tall ride height that handles well and is wheelie prone (hard to break into 1.6 60 fts stock height and wheelbase for most of us mortals)...or lower it, have tolerable to odd but certainly significantly diminshed handling in the corners but less wheelies and better 60 fts....I really wanted both but finally realized that adding power only exasperates the wheelie situation....now WOT in 2nd and it won't really wheelie much unless I WANT it to....1st is always going to take some finesse. Find out where your torque peak is....around 9k I think for the 12...so once I pass that spot I know I can get on it again pretty hard....even if it starts coming up at that point its time to shift or I'll smack the limiter...both of which halt the wheelies.
